Photons

Photons are an energy based construct in Seraph of the End. Physically appearing as a ball of light, it is one that can grow exponentially in size. It is said to be the source of seraph's power.

Background[]

Perhaps a technological advance to the point it could be considered magic, photons were far more advanced than anything existing in modern-day Earth, yet were around during Earth's prehistory when dinosaurs existed, long before modern-day humans came into being. During prehistoric times when a seraph civilization was established, Earth was one satellite kingdom among many, and involved with the construction of towers such as the Tower of Babel. At the same time as these developments photons were being stockpiled to a specified amount to accumulate reservoirs of them.

The collected light in the Tower of Babel was to return angels to paradise. To use photons interchangeably with light, it was also a miracle capable of creating life. Resurrecting the deceased, and curing illnesses would have also involved the power of photon light. It is said that the source of God's power is light which is also the source of an angel's life. There were taboos on angels using certain properties of the light however.

Appearance[]

The single example of a photon seen showed that it could materialize out of air while accompanied with a fizzling-like sound. What resembles white-hot embers whirls around the caster as a shining orb comes into being in the palm of a hand. At this size the sphere can levitate in place above the palm. With no indication the the time it takes, the small orb can become much larger and apparently maintain some link to the caster's hand that it has left. The sun-like construct has a dark shadowy outline around it, and a small dark tether of sorts nearing the hand that generated it. Able to be further manipulating using verbal commands, one orb of light could be split into three, and then made to form into a circular ring.

Capabilities[]

From any size of the orb, nearby seraphs can be affected by its power at a distance. The conjuration of a photon envelopes seraphs in a glowing fiery light that outshines their naturally fire based heads. Whether through energizing seraphs or being involved with technological aspects such as the Tower of Babel, photons may factor into allowing seraphs to return to the Sun where God is stated to await on a throne.

The ember like petals that appeared when the photon did resemble those that were visible when humanoid seraphs were revealed. Whether a transformation took place and cloaked seraphs became human appearing ones, a same photon forming like energy was around the seraphs Amon, with Belial, and Astaroth. Photon like embers were also there when Marbas, then Bathin, and Naberius were shown. Similarly, for Raum, and Orobas as well.^[1]

Prehistory[]

In a gathering of seraphs, the hailed King of Earth Sika Madu displays a photon. Manifesting one to illustrate how their reservoirs of photons is nearing 90% of the target volume, Sika Madu then has the photon expand in size.^[2]

A photon is generated by Sika Madu after he speaks for the word light.^[3] It floats above as Sika Madu considers how all light is God's power. This orb was split into three slightly smaller ones as Sika Madu contemplated the three gravest taboos of resurrection, as well as apothanasia, and creating life. Directed to blend, the three sphered spun until they each thinned into a combined ring of light.^[4]

This appeared to have creating a portal like opening for Mikaela's body to be lowered down into the room from another location.
