This Aspect of Ferid was seen near a specific tree that had encased a number of vampires. Apparently having been unresponsive to vampires such as Chess Belle and Horn Skuld, this entity did respond to Crowley Eusford. While it appeared involved with the draining of others' power to strengthen Ferid Bathory himself in the physical world, for his different appearance it is likely a part of Ferid's mind carrying out its actions.
Appearance[]
He appears exactly as Ferid did when he was a sixteen year old human. The only variation is this manifestation of Ferid has vampire pointed ears, where Ferid physically became a vampire and stopped ageing at a later date when he had grown more. For this amalgam form, Ferid retains his human teeth which are not vampire fangs. Overall it is Ferid at sixteen down to his identical clothing, with the out of place vampire ears. It is a similar situation to when one becomes a demon, they can appear as a child form of themselves, with pointed ears and other demonic traits. While Ferid is a vampire, yet set to turn into a demon, a form is ready here for him to traverse fully into.
Personality[]
Possibly a spell-based construct, where it was not responsive to others this would not be indicating that Ferid were there ignoring who he was being spoken to, rather Ferid had not tapped into this monitoring point for those contained in the tree. When this form of Ferid did speak he was not snide, neither did he avoid discussing a matter at hand as he often does. Calm and upfront, Ferid shared details of his plan though still vaguely.
Clear he was able to communicate as Ferid and hold conversations, he sought the advice of the vampires he had captured after Guren and Mahiru had activated a curse to incapacitate his physical body. Where Ferid was physically in pain, a part of him was able to think unaffected by hindrances where he was joyful at his chances of prevailing despite setbacks.
Ambitions[]
Appearing in this form, Ferid was ready to enact his plan he had been working on for a long time. This manifestation stole more of Crowley's power, to the point Ferid felt able to seek out Krul Tepes. Practically, and through detrimental means, Ferid delivers on his intent to have Crowley witness events to come.
Story[]
If he was even able to hear them, this form of Ferid remained visible but indifferent to vampires who had been eaten by Ferid and then imprisoned within a single large tree. Pointed out by Chess, his back is turned to those who were slowly becoming demons while also being devoured to energize Ferid. He is referred to as Lord Ferid by Horn who finds it doubtful he can hear them. Ferid here had not responded to calls by others or having his name cursed by them. Sat by himself, Ferid did not answer whether this was a human spell when asked that by Crowley, but then appeared to be regarding some matter. He is again silent when asked if voices can even be heard.[1]
It is when Crowley states that he will be watching to see is he shows part of his plan does Ferid answer. Indicating that he was able to hear Crowley then, Ferid turns to respond that he had best be watching closely. He has been working hard a long time and Ferid continues that this is the last stretch. Apparently at his will, the spiked branches of the tree stab into Crowley and Ferid also has him bound apparently to drain his strength more. Standing and ever having his back to those in the tree, Ferid simply states for them to do this.[2]
This visage and its interaction with Crowley is not really commented on by Ferid, who physically speaks to himself how Crowley lived for a long time, until until a few minutes ago. Whether induced, or an automatic process, the aspect of Ferid based around the tree leaves Ferid calculating that devouring Crowley would put his strength barely on par with a third progenitor.
After Ferid fought Ky Luc then betrayed Guren and Mahiru his physical self was crippled by curse activated chains. Within his sphere, this aspect of Ferid sits legs and arms crossed by the tree. After comments from Crowley and Krul about how he is losing and turning into a demon, and when Chess and Horn note the curse travelling up the tree, this aspect of Ferid strikes apart a chain that nears him.[3]
At this point does the child form of Ferid turn to happily speak to the vampires trapped within the tree. Despite his physical state, this aspect of Ferid in this sphere is upbeat in raising how his chances are being doubted, then comments how he can feel upset over things namely their lack of faith in him. Responding to Crowley's comment that he looks like he is enjoying himself, Ferid laughs that is a good point. Ferid in this area states that he is having fun.
For the question of whether it is because there is an end to it coming, Ferid reveals that it has been almost half a year since he devoured that first vampire. Judging he is almost out of time, Ferid reasons he has to hurry. Beaming, Ferid's child form asserts that he had better rush through life.[4]
“ | Ooh! Good point. I am having fun. Do you think it's because there's an end to it coming? It's been almost half a year since I devoured that first vampire. I'm almost out of time. Oh Gosh. I have to hurry. Yeah! I'd better rush through life! | ” |

While Ferid thinks how achieving his goal might be harder than he thought, this manifestation of him communes with the other vampires in his inner realm. Speaking to them as a whole, Ferid asks them what is he going to do as he seeks their views for this matter. Ordered by Krul not to talk to him, Ferid is not helped further as Crowley has an interest in checking his memories.
Speaking for Crowley to not do that, Ferid sighs as Crowley seems set on it even with Chess' discouragement. Contemplating what does he do now, Ferid can reflect in this state to wonder how does he get out of this. Ferid asks himself how does he stay on top.
Responding to Crowley who wonders what made him decide to become a vampire, Ferid cautions him that he would not do that. Warning him that if he does that he will merge with the memories of all the vampires he has eaten, Ferid claims it would overload Crowley's brain.[5]
Continuing having gained Crowley's attention, Ferid tries to retain it with a story about how the humans have not realized it yet, but for that one moment when they all finally fully merge, they will be super powerful. It will be over four hundred ancient lives all connecting as one after all, yet Ferid says he thinks he will save that moment for later.[6]
Failing to deter Crowley's interest in his thoughts, when Crowley states he will go on ahead and check his memories, Ferid happily says that is okay, if he wants to.[7] Also failing to discourage any interest, the aspect of Ferid is where Crowley can access Ferid's memories of his past as a human Roman soldier.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Realm Manipulation - similar to a demon, this entity can exert control over its sphere. It seems the force behind a tree being able to constrain vampires who have supernaturally enhanced strengths. Notably it can direct branches of a tree to pull prisoners out at will, then stab into them to increase the rate of absorbing their strength. This is immediate empowering for Ferid where he is physically.
- Curse Rejection - This form within his sphere allows Ferid to partially deal with curses affecting his physical body. Where Ferid is physically unable to move and being painfully turned into a demon, this aspect remains unharmed. Able to think and act without hindrances, the aspect of Ferid can cut apart chains, parts of the curse seeping throughout his body.
