Chronology[]
The Emissary of the King Arc[]
- Main article: The Emissary of the King Arc
While swimming in the river, Guren notices a lone Death Knight traveling along the River of Flame, after stalking the undead for a while, it lost interest upon realizing the Death Knight was not an enemy.[1]
Layout[]
There used to be a fire-elemental damage field effect in place here, but since that effect has been temporarily suspended, the area is simply hot instead. Despite this, however, this is not a place where the living can easily survive. The scorching air will easily strip throats and skin of moisture in seconds. Even freshly beaded sweat dripping from the foe's body will instantly vaporize into steam, causing a steady accumulation of fatigue. This place, which is thoroughly inimical to the living, perfectly fits the description of a "hell world." Even so, many creatures like fire-immune demons live here, part of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. There are other monsters, such as Mephits and fire-immune undead, residing in this area.
Trivia[]
- In Overlord: The Undead Oh!, it is referred to as the "hot river".[2]
- The river was also introduced in Mass for the Dead, and Guren was observed by Slimeko to be swimming in its depths.[3]
