Aru hi Kumano Kodō de Bāsoromyū Kuma ni deattara

Honmono ka dō ka tashikameta hō gaī
Honmononara kō kikudarō
"Ryokō surunara doko ni ikitai?"

One day, if you meet Bartholomew Kuma on the Kumano Kodo,

You should check if he is real.
If he is genuine, you will ask
"If you were to go on a trip, where would you like to go?"

Higoro no go kago ni kansha o tsutae
Shiyoku kigan wa yameteoke
Torī o deta nochi furikaette no ichirei
Shigo wa narubeku jishuku shiro

If you were sent to Ise Jingu

Clean your hands at the Ichirei Chozuya in front of the torii
Worship two worships, two clappings, one worship
Thank you for your daily support
Stop praying for selfishness
After leaving the torii, look back and give thanks
Please refrain from speaking as much as possible

Triva[]

  • The song's name is a pun on the Kumano Kodō, a series of ancient pilgrimage trails in Japan. As it is written, however, it emphasizes Kuma's name and translates to "Kuma's Old Road".
