Kip Pardue is the American actor who portrays Chad on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
Biography
Kevin Ian "Kip" Pardue was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 23, 1975. He grew up playing football and baseball and graduated from Dunwoody High School, located in Atlanta, Georgia in 1994. The next year, he was recruited to play football by Yale University. He graduated in 1998 with a degree in Economics. After being discovered by Molly Ringwald's publicist, he headed west afterwards and enjoyed a successful career as a model for Armani, Abercrombie & Fitch and Polo.
Eventually, Pardue turned to acting and landed his first TV role on 7th Heaven in 1996. Then, he was cast as Josh Ford on the WB Hit Popular before the role was later re-cast. After making his film debut in the independent film But I'm a Cheerleader in 1999, and later Whatever It Takes, Pardue got his big break with his role in Remember the Titans in 2000, starring Denzel Washington.
Pardue then starred as Sylvester Stallone's Indy racing protégé in 2001's Driven, before appearing on The Rules of Attraction in 2002, and Thirteen in 2003. He awarded in 2002 with the "Young Hollywood Award" in 'New Stylemaker-Male' and 'Rising Star Awards' as well in 2005. After that, he guest starred on House M.D., ER, Mad Men, Ray Donovan, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NCIS: Los Angeles or Hawaii Five-0. In 2017, he became a series regular on Marvel's Runaways, playing the role of Frank Dean, a famous actor and Karolina's father.
On October 28, 2018, Pardue was accused of sexual misconduct by actor Sarah Scott.[1] On July 7, 2019, the Screen Actors Guild found Pardue guilty of sexual harassment and fined him $6,000 for sexually harassing Scott.[2]
