TaleSpin is a 1991 sidescrolling action video game released for the NES and Game Boy, based on the Disney Afternoon cartoon of the same name. The game has been noted for its difficulty and it has been questioned why Baloo is larger than the plane.
The game was later collected along with the other Disney Afternoon NES games in the 2017 compilation game The Disney Afternoon Collection, which was released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One... but ironically, not on any Nintendo consoles.
Gameplay[]
The player pilots the Sea Duck while avoiding various enemies including Don Carnage and his band of air pirates. Pressing A makes the plane go the other way while upside-down while B fires.
Plot[]
Baloo and Kit are delivering cargo for Rebecca Cunningham, but Shere Khan has hired the Air Pirates, led by Don Karnage, in an attempt to sabotage their business.
Development[]
Reception[]
Super Gamer magazine gave the Game Boy Version a review score of 65% stating: "Quite a tricky shoot-'em-up this. Features characters from the cartoon, but certainly wouldn’t appeal to younger players when it’s this difficult."
