Power Suit Samus (JP) is Zero Suit Samus' Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl that allows her to gain her power suit back. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U, it was replaced by the move Gunship.

Origin[]

Super Metroid[]

In Super Metroid, the Crystal Flash was a technique that replenishes Samus Aran's Energy Tanks, costing 10 Missiles, 10 Super Missiles, and 11 Power Bombs. During the Crystal Flash, Samus could be seen in an orb of light without her suit.

Metroid: Zero Mission[]

In Metroid: Zero Mission, Samus loses her Power Suit and was unable to recover it. Samus regains her Power Suit when she defeats the Ruins Test on Zebes, a test by the Chozo to determine if Zero Suit Samus was qualified to wield a powerful Legendary Power Suit.

Effects[]

Power Suit Samus is a relatively low impact final smash. It has high knockback but, the move has a very short range, only extending a bit out from Samus. When it activates, the move drags slowly in enemies and items. Players who get sucked in receive 25-26% damage each in the spin and an extra 10% right when she regains her suit.

Trophy Description[]

BrawlTrophy4
"Zero Suit Samus's Final Smash. Samus loses her Power Suit when she fires the Zero Laser, but she can restore it—that is, she can return from her Zero Suit form to her familiar armored form. That being said, Zero Suit Samus is very quick with great reach, so there are tactical reasons to fight as is. If that's your preference, don't pick up any Smash Balls."
