The Pokémon Theme is, as its title suggests, the first opening theme song to the English dub of the Pokémon anime, used for Pokémon Indigo League, the 17th season of the anime, and Pokémon: To Be a Pokémon Master of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series. Written and produced by John Loeffler, it was sung by Jason Paige. An extended version of the song was featured on two albums 2.B.A. Master and Pokémon X. It is also used as the title screen BGM for Pokémon Puzzle League.
In the English dub of Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back, a cover version performed by Billy Crawford is heard during Ash's battle with the pirate-dressed trainer at the beginning.

- A bumper produced for Kids' WB's special "Battle for the Kids' WB Badge" broadcast featured Sylvester the Cat from Looney Tunes badly singing the "Pokémon Theme", only to be cut off by Gary throwing a Poké Ball in his mouth.
