Pallet Town is a fictional town in the Pokémon series located in the Kanto region and has appeared im the first, second, third, fourth and seventh generation games. It is the hometown of Red/Leaf, the protagonist of Pokémon Red and Blue, Yellow, FireRed and LeafGreen, as well as his or her rival's. It lies between Viridian City to the north and Cinnabar Island to the south with large tree areas covering the other sides of the town.

Professor Oak's Laboratory[]

Professor Oak, a Pokémon Professor who dedicates his life to studying the different species in the world, spends most of his time in this laboratory. He has three people helping inside as well. Aside from his research, he also takes care of Pallet Town's trainers. In the first and third generation, this is the place where Red/Blue/Leaf receive their First partner Pokémon.

Gift Pokémon[]

In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, after defeating Red, the player can get one of the three original starter Pokémon from Professor Oak.

Player's house[]

In Generation 1, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen and Pokémon Let's Go, this is where the player starts the game. The player's mom lives here and restores the player's Pokémon like a Pokémon Center. In the earlier games, the player can access their PC and it holds a Potion from the start.

Rival's House[]

In Generation 1 and Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the rival's sister will give the player the Town Map after receiving the Pokédex. In Generation II, FireRed and LeafGreen, HeartGold and SoulSilver, the player can talk to Daisy Oak to get their Pokémon groomed. This will raise the Pokémon's friendship stat and in Generation IV, the beauty stat. In Pokémon Let's Go, she can no longer groom the Pokémon but can still check their friendship level.
