Born to Be a Winner is the opening theme song for the fourth season of Pokémon the Series, Pokémon Johto League Champions. The song is also played in the fourth Pokémon movie, Pokémon 4Ever: Celebi: Voice of the Forest.
The opening animation is composed of clips from the fourth Japanese opening, the Whiteberry version of Aim to Be a Pokémon Master, as well as original footage created for the opening.
Lyrically, it borrows heavily from the original Pokémon Theme. The TV version is available on the CD, Pokémon X, and is included as a bonus feature on the Mewtwo Returns DVD.

- The fact that this theme borrows heavily from the original is similar to how Aim to Be a Pokémon Master, the first Japanese opening theme, was remixed and used as the fourth Japanese opening theme (Whiteberry variant).
- This opening features the most Gym Leaders, with a total of ten: that includes Brock, Misty, and all the Johto Gym Leaders.
- However, Pryce and Clair, despite appearing in this opening, do not appear until the next season.
- This theme's debut and final appearance both occur in episodes where Ash Ketchum has a Gym battle. Its debut is in the episode of his first Gym battle with Whitney in A Goldenrod Opportunity and its final appearance in the episode featuring his Gym battle against Chuck in Machoke, Machoke Man!.
- This is the last opening theme that John Loeffler wrote and composed until Battle Frontier.
- Most of the animation used in this opening is original. Only a few scenes were taken from the original fourth Japanese intro.
- This is the only opening so far to not be translated into Danish.
- A special remix was to be made for the German version, but was cut out of the final version.
