The Portal of Peril was an interactive live show originally performed during the opening of Ninjago: The Ride at Legoland Windsor in 2017.
It was then brought back for LEGO Ninjago Weekends in 2022.
Plot[]
A ninja who is yet to unlock their True Potential is trying to open the Portal of Peril but is unsuccessful. The commotion wakes up Master Wu who was taking a nap. The ninja is instructed by Wu to teach the crowd Spinjitzu. The crowd is then taught how to use imaginary Golden Weapons. After the crowd uses imaginary Swords of Fire and Nunchucks of Lightning, a plume of smoke comes down and Nya walks out, looking for Master Wu. The ninja teaches the crowd how to use imaginary Scythe of Quakes and Shurikens of Ice and suggests to teach the Tornado of Creation, where Wu then declines. The ninja asks Wu to teach a special technique, so Wu teaches how to sip a cup of tea. The ninja starts to talk themselves down when the Portal of Peril begins to glow green and Wu states that the challenge has arrived. The Great Devourer comes to the portal and tries to scare the ninja and the crowd, but the ninja instructs the crowd to use their Spinjitzu skills and they defeat the Great Devourer. The ninja unlocks their true potential.
