Return to the Wyldness is a series of canon Ninjago: Dragons Rising - Season 2 shorts and a part of the Wyldfyre series. The series was announced on July 1, 2024 and the episodes were released on July 8, 2024 on LEGO.com.

- This marks the first series of canon Ninjago shorts to not have a returning character be voiced by the main actor/actress.
- As Kazumi Evans provides the voice for Wyldfyre in the main Dragons Rising series but did not return for this series of shorts.
- Wyldfyre is now also the third Ninja to have been recast, the first being Lloyd Garmadon when he got recast for Season 8: Sons of Garmadon replacing Jillian Michaels with Sam Vincent and the second being Cole in Season 15: Crystalized replacing Kirby Morrow with Andrew Francis, Francis previously voiced Morro.
