Jolyon Yates is an artist who worked alongside Greg Farshtey to create volumes #4 through #11 of the Papercutz Ninjago graphic novel series.
From Papercutz; "Born in England, Jolyon Yates studied graphic design and illustration at Canterbury and Exeter, and Japanese Arts in Sapporo, Japan, as a guinea pig in a college exchange program. He lived in Japan for several years, during which time he contributed comics, articles, and illustrations to magazines such as Anime FX. Jolyon also met his future wife there. He became a US citizen in 2008.
His first paid comics work was the story "Tancho" for Mangazine. He completed artwork for the award-winning web comic Revvvelations in 2010. Illustration work has included storyboards for commercials and movies and artwork for magazines and animation. He's been a regular contributor to G-Fan. He makes a brief appearance in the movie TENGU (2012) for which he drew character designs. He is very happy to be working on LEGO® NINJAGO but fears losing the ability to draw fingers, ears, and noses."[1]
