His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Frank Rhodes is a professional hitman and thus is responsible for a very large amount of deaths, over a dozen at the very least which the show makes clear he has a very high amount. One victim that is mentioned by name is Evers' wife.
- When Rhodes is hired by the Black Hand to murder Anna Fullford, Rhodes ends up making a mistake though that leads to him killing a random person that happened to be at Anna's house, he killed her by dumping her body in lye.
- Has a completely random man dressed up like William Murdoch only to then have him killed, only so that he can drive Murdoch crazy with paranoia as he knows someone is trying to kill him.
- Has a bomb planted in Murdoch's house which would kill not only him but the staff and their newly born child.
- Takes Murdoch's wife Julia and their kid hostage in order to force Murdoch to come to him so that he can kill him personally.
- Strangles a prison guard presumably to death which is witnessed by Mr. Bent.
- Has the person who witnessed his strangulation Mr. Bent, poisoned with a special type of poison. This poison causes Mr. Bent to die an extremely slow and painful death in constant agony.
- Tries to kill Murdoch using the exact same way all while taking pleasure in the suffering he is causing him.
- Easily passes the heinous standard of the show with his exceptionally high kill count with dozens dead during his career as a hitman. The show makes it clear his body count is really high and the kills we do see onscreen establish a pattern. His murder methods are also exceptionally brutal with him dumping a woman in lye and slowly poisoning two people where they die in a slow and agonizing way.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Despite his many horrible crimes Rhodes does have a genuine sense of honor. His extreme hatred towards Murdoch comes from the fact that he made a deal with him, a deal that by all indications Rhodes was intending to actually keep, and then Murdoch went back on the deal. The show makes it very clear the Rhodes is incredibly angry at the fact that Murdoch broke the deal. Rhodes and his brother also make it clear that they view this as a betrayal from Murdoch.
