Downtown Julie Brown (born Julie Dorne Brown, 1963) is an English-born actress best known for her stint as an MTV VJ.
Brown appeared in episode 3448 of Sesame Street where she reported on the "Worm World Music Festival" for WormTV. She had previously been parodied in the CityKids pilot as "Downtown Beefy Brown," a hot dog emcee who introduces Frankie Frank and the Footers.
The winner of the World Disco Dancing Championship of 1979, Brown has also appeared on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, The Weird Al Show, and provided the voice of a reporter for Hey Arnold!.
