Thanks for your participation during the Inspire Campaign focused on outreach to outside knowledge networks from February 2017. I'm interested in hearing your experience during the campaign, so if you're able, I invite you to complete this brief survey to describe how you contributed to the campaign and how you felt about participating. I want to improve how campaigns are run, so let me know if there's something that could be done better for next time.
Please feel free to let me know on my talk page if you have any questions about the campaign or the survey. Thanks! I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 18:34, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
Survey link error fixed
[edit]Hi there, there was a error with the Inspire survey link that caused the survey to be shown as expired, but has now been fixed. The link in the above message should now bring you to the survey. Apologies, I JethroBT (WMF) 19:20, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
Net neutrality
[edit]Sorry that your proposal didn't work out. Maybe you can use Meta-wiki instead and try out Requests for comment. If not, how else would you address "net neutrality", especially since Wikipedia is not an appropriate venue to promote political stance? --George Ho (talk) 06:26, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- @George Ho: Thank you for sending me a message! There are a lot of great comments and arguments there, and I agree that it's best Not to force Wikipedia into politics. Thanks for the advice about Requests for Comment. That does seem like a better way to approach this. Please let me know if you have any other thoughts! -- Popcrate (talk) 06:50, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- Alternatively, you might try Wikimedia Forum if you like. There's not one discussion about it within the past year. --George Ho (talk) 06:51, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- Almost forgot: You're welcome, BTW. :) I have no opinion on the subject matter, but I wish you good luck on this. --George Ho (talk) 07:03, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- @George Ho: Forums seems like a good place. I'm think I'm going to grab some more specific research (history of internet and ISP's, pros/cons of 'net neutrality', potential outcomes, etc.) and will post it there.
- Thank you, I appreciate it! --Popcrate (talk) 07:08, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- You're welcome again. ;) Here's also Research:Index if you want to create a research page. --George Ho (talk) 07:20, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- Another example is "Sustainability Initiative", which is worth reading (and signing for). --George Ho (talk) 07:23, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
