Intelligence Sector 1 (also known as NW Intelligence) is a Starfleet-designated area which, in the 23rd century, encompassed about a quarter of Federation space, bordering the Starfleet NE Intelligence sector and Starfleet SW Intelligence sector.

Starfleet Intelligence maintained many bases in this area, which contained the home star systems of the Federation's founding members. The central control for these intelligence installations was at Starbase 7. As there were no major hostile powers in this insular sector, the only intelligence unit active was the Starfleet Intelligence Internal Activities Unit.
