Hohweyn VII was a planet, the seventh planet in orbit of the tertiary star of the trinary Hohweyn system, located in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.
History and specifics[]
The world was considered the safest in a system full of gravimetric distortions. For much of its solar year, Hohweyn VII passed through debris clouds and asteroid belts left over from planetary collisions.
In the 2270s, the Venhkatsen Research Group established an outpost on the planet in order to study the system's astronomical anomalies.
When contact was lost in 2273, the Federation starship USS Enterprise sent the SW7-class shuttlecraft Halley to the surface. Unfortunately, a gravitic mine struck the shuttle, disabling it and leaving it adrift near the planet. (TOS novel: The Kobayashi Maru)
