Barsoom was a planet, the fourth planet of the Delta Gamma system, located in Starfleet Intelligence sector 1 within Federation space in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[]

It had an abundance of different precious metals and ores. It was colonized by both Humans and Tellarites and became one of the richest mining and industrial worlds in the Federation. The planet also maintained the largest Tellarite population (over 5 million inhabitants) outside the Tellar homeworld system.

It was colonized in the 22nd century. By the 2280s, its technological/sociopolitical index was 767688-68 and its planetary trade profile was BBBCBBB/B (C). (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
