History [ ] Wanyudo, or the Wheel Monk, is a well known demon in Japanese mythology. It appears in the form of a burning wheel bearing the face of a tormented man. He guards the gates to Hell and will travel back and forth along the road to the world of the living and steal the souls of those who get too close.
