"I want to broadcast this feeling to the world!"
—Ribitta, after winning a NetBattle against Lan Hikari, Mega Man Battle Network 2

Ribitta, known as Kero Midorikawa (緑川みどりかわ ケロ Midorikawa Kero) in Japan, is a newscaster for DNN and the operator of ToadMan in the Mega Man Battle Network series. She hosts a program called "Morning Assault NetBattle!" (突撃とつげきあさまでネットバトル! Totsugeki Asa Made Netto Batoru!).[1]

Physical Appearance[]

Ribitta has fair skin. Her hair is brown, and she almost always carries a microphone with her. She has normal eyes with black pupils. Her outfit consists of a faded yellow blouse and maroon jeans and a dark green cap with green beads at the top that slightly resemble a frog's head , complete with a white frog symbol in the center, as well as brown heels.

In her reappearance on Mega Man Battle Network 5, Ribitta is shown wearing a light green cap with a yellow frog symbol, green jacket with dark green and yellow lining, dark navy pants and black heels.

History[]

Mega Man Battle Network 2[]

Ribitta is first introduced operating a news van outside the Official Center. Her NetNavi, ToadMan, is an optional boss in that game that can be fought by talking to her. Ribitta and crew attempted to travel to Netopia, but a lack of permit to film stops them from going any furthers from the Netopian airport.

Throughout the game she continues newscasting and hosts multiple programs including: "Battle Report" (ケロのとつげき! レポート Kero no Totsugeki! Repōto, lit. "Kero's Assault! Report") and a NetBattle How-To Show, "Ask Mr. Famous" (めいじんにきけ! Meijin ni Kike!, lit. "Listen to Meijin!").

Mega Man Battle Network 3[]

Ribitta appeared announcing the N1 Grand Prix.

Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel[]

Ribitta wants to do a report on the Undernet and has her NetNavi go to End Area, but their interference results in Colonel's deletion. Feeling remorse, Ribitta tries to join Team Colonel and sends ToadMan to the Undernet to battle MegaMan to prove it. Even though ToadMan loses, the battle was enough to convince the team to allow them to join and the two participates in their missions until Nebula's destruction.
