The Soul Stone, also known as the Soul Gem, is one of the Infinity Stones in Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
Story[]
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite[]
After the "Convergence", the Soul Stone ended up in the possession off Jedah, using it to feed the Giant Symbiote with souls in order to create a powerful enough creature to challenge Ultron Sigma's rule.
It later turns out to be a cure for the Sigma Virus.
Gameplay[]
Marvel Super Heroes[]
The Soul Gem restores health for a few seconds, listed as "Life Up". The character is surrounded by four swirling green orbs. When equipped by certain characters, the Gem grants a special ability, displayed as "Life Up SP".
- Iron Man gains an electric shield that counters all hits taken.
- Thanos drains the opponents health with electricity and adds it to his own.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite[]
The Soul Stone can be selected on the character select screen. Its Infinity Surge shoots a grapple-like beam at the opponent. If it hits, the opponent has some of his/her life drained. Its Infinity Storm revives a fallen ally and both characters are active at the same time, making it very similar to the Duo Team Attack from Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. If the characters' teammate still alive, they will remain entering in Duo Team Attack state. After the Storm ends, the revived character retreats with a small chunk of health.
Because of this game contains Infinity Stones as its primary objects for its storyline and gameplay mechanics, Arthur, Strider Hiryu and Mega Man characters does not possess special death animations.
