Synopsis for 1st story

Lying defeated on the ground, Loki curses the two Deadpools for foiling his plans. As the Deadpools do a secret handshake, the Avengers arrive; Deadpool expressing surprise they didn't go for drinks at the bar. Iron Man retorts that he quit drinking but could use one, lying that his hands are shaking uncontrollably as he blasts Deadpool with a repulsor beam. Noticing the second Deadpool, Captain America asks how he is, but Deadpool-617 replies that he'll just have to read the previous chapter to find out. Coughing smoke, Deadpool asks why Thor didn't show up to help handle his annoying little brother's tantrum. At the mention of Thor's name, Loki flies into a rage and screams that the mortals of Japan ruined his nemesis.

In a flashback to some time prior on Asgard, Loki schemes up new plot to assassinate Thor and bursts into his brother's chambers exclaiming that a giant serpent is terrorizing the courtyard... only to find Thor eating potato chips and watching anime. As Loki expresses incredulity at this, Thor invites him to come in and join him, saying that Demon Slayer is his favorite and predicting that it will be extremely popular. As Loki asks why Thor - who is thousands of years old - would want to spend his time watching children's cartoons, Thor replies that anime has "gone mainstream" and that there are genres and series for every age group, playfully saying that Loki is missing out. Loki irritably reiterates his refusal, Thor teasingly offering to lend Loki the DVDs so that he can watch them in private. Livid, Loki swipes the DVD cases from Thor's hands and storms out, Thor bemusedly wondering if Loki prefers Blu-ray. Seething internally, Loki swears to utterly destroy Japan for daring to corrupt Thor into such a wretched state.

In the present, Deadpool says that Loki's reason for wanting to destroy Japan sounds like something out of a bad fanfic, Loki flying into a rage and trying to punch him. Captain America tells him that the Avengers will transport the captured villains back to the United States, and notes that they'll need to come up with a way to return Deadpool-617 to his home dimension as well. Asked what he will do, Deadpool decides to remain in Japan a little while longer. Sneering, Loki states that the Avengers haven't won yet, as there are still villains on the loose to carry out his plot to destroy Japan. Deadpool retorts that he isn't worried since even if the villains are shoddy knockoffs of Marvel's rogues galley they'll be up against the best shoddy knockoff heroes that Japan has to offer: the Samurai Squad.

Remarking that his work is complete, Deadpool closes the book on his original manga, entitled Deadpool: Samurai, and sets out to one of Shueisha's editorial offices in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward. Meeting with one of the editors, Deadpool submits his draft but is rejected, told that it isn't up to Shueisha's standards. Killing the editor, Deadpool returns to New York and meets with Marvel Comics editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski, who promises to smooth things over with Shueisha and get Sanshirou Kasama to polish it up. Deadpool is pleased, but when Cebulski asks what the bloodstain on the manuscript is he lies that it's ketchup.

Synopsis for "Bonus Chapter"

While relaxing and reading an issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump, Deadpool gets an emergency phone call from Iron Man that the villains the Avengers captured in Japan have somehow escaped and are rampaging across New York City. Ordered to stop lazing around and return to America, Deadpool packs his luggage and goes to the Narita International Airport... where he's told that the next flight to New York won't be available for four hours. Resolving to wait, Deadpool settles in and starts watching a movie.

As the battle in New York rages on, Spider-Man wonders what's taking Deadpool so long, Iron Man grousing that he's not answering his phone. In Tokyo, a salaryman offers Deadpool his ticket, but Deadpool refuses upon learning that it's an aisle seat. As Deadpool decides to check out the gift shops, the booking agent calls him over and says they have a last-minute cancellation. Verifying that the seat meets his exacting standards, Deadpool purchases a ticket and prepares to return to New York.

The Avengers having defeated the last of the escaped villains, Black Widow remarks that they didn't need Deadpool's help after all. As Spider-Man vouches for Wade, saying he's trying his best to be a true hero, Iron Man asks when they got to be such good friends. Recalling his earlier dustup with the Merc with a Mouth, Spider-Man replies that while he wouldn't call Deadpool a friend per sae, he wants to give Wade a shot at being trusted. As Iron Man and Captain America reflect on their own turbulent friendship, Spider-Man asks M.O.D.O.K. how the villains escaped; the oversized head replying that they had a little help from Deadpool - who slipped them a key so that the manga could end with a sequel hook. Furious, Spider-Man vows to never trust Deadpool again and cocoon him in webbing the next time he sees him.
