Synopsis for "Plan "B""
Steve and Sharon eject from their jet just before it's destroyed and continue their journey on foot through the Moldavian countryside to find the Argus cannon. Along the way, Sharon continues to grapple with her lingering feelings for her former partner in spite of her doubts that it was ever what she thought it was. When they find the cannon, Sharon holds off enough of the guards while Steve rushes the device to strike its weak point, causing it to explode. They don't get a chance to celebrate the accomplishment before they're knocked out, captured, and taken to Machinesmith. Smith gloats to his prisoners that he had stolen plenty more secrets from Rogers' brain, conveniently encoding it all to a special coin, and demonstrates by remotely hacking the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier so it begins to fall from the sky. Besides that, even with the Argus destroyed, it had already accomplished its purpose of forcing the U.S. to meet with Moldavian diplomats for peace talks, and hidden among the Moldavian envoy arriving at Camp David to meet the President is one of Machinesmith's robot bodies armed for destruction.

- Steve Rogers and Machinesmith reference Smith's recent appearances as Tony Stark's brainwashed assistant. Smith explains that it was just one of his multiple bodies and he had since reclaimed it. Machinesmith's stint with Tony Stark was covered in Iron Man #320-325.
