Shy Guy Beach is the second track of the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. This track makes a retro appearance in Mario Kart Wii as the second track of the Banana Cup. It is the prequel to Cheep Cheep Island.
Despite being a beach, it actually takes place on an island filled with sand, with some grass. It also has quite a simple layout as well. Apart from this, there is a ship with Shy Guys in it (referred to as the Shy Guy Galleon in David Hodgson's Mario Kart Wii book) that try to shoot cannonballs at racers, and some Sidesteppers.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit[]
Its background looks the ocean with an island and a Pirate Guy ship sailing. The Pirate Guy ship shoots cannonballs that spin racers out if they hit them. Koopa Beach 1 and Koopa Beach 2 also use it, but the Pirate Guys don't shoot cannonballs. Other hazards in this course include various Sidesteppers, and parasols appear in the course.
Mario Kart Wii[]
This course returns in Mario Kart Wii with little changes. The course now has improved graphics and now tricks can be done off the ramps. Cannonballs now explode like Bob-ombs, causing their victims to be sent flying rather than spinning out. The starting line now has a goal gate consisting of two poles with a sign reading "MARIO KART" hung between them. Parasols can be opened with a POW Block explosion or destroyed via Shells, Bob-ombs, and/or Super Stars, though they will be replaced shortly; their number has also been increased. The grass patches are now considered to be out of bounds on the map. Barring parasols and trees, this is the only course that does not have walls at all.

Trivia![]
- The music is inspired by the theme for the 1959 film, A Summer Place.
- The original theme is also sampled in the 1998 song "It's Summertime" by Ricky D. It was to be included in Dance Dance Revolution Solo, but it was removed.
- This is the only track in Super Circuit's Mushroom Cup to not reappear in Mario Kart Tour.
