Mario Party

Word Herd is a 1-vs.-3 Mic mini-game in Mario Party 6.

Gameplay[]

The solo character has to use the Mic (or selects a command from a blue window if the Mic feature is disabled) to guide a herd of Goombas away from the team, while the teammates each have to try and punch the Goombas out of the corral. The solo player can say "Up," "Down," "Left," and "Right" to move the Goombas into one of the specified directions, or "Scramble" to disperse the herd. If at least one Goomba is remaining when the 30-second time limit runs out, the solo character wins, but if no Goombas are remaining, the team wins.

There is a hidden Mic command named "Ukiki," only revealed as a hint from the Star Bank, and saying it results in a Ukiki throwing fruits at the teammates, briefly stunning them. After this happens, the Ukiki goes away. Because there are only three Ukikis, the command can only be used up to three times. Because "Ukiki" is a hidden command, it is not available on the blue window if the Mic setting is turned off.

  • Rules: One player shouts orders to herd the Goombas away from the other players, who will try to punch them out of the corral.
  • Advice 1: The solo player should give the Goombas orders to keep them away from the fence!
  • Advice 2: Goombas won't listen to orders while they're moving. Wait until they stop before giving them another command.
