Tile and Error is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Mario Party 7.
Layout[]
The minigame takes place on a raised square platform with a grid of 16 tiles in the middle of a stadium.
Gameplay[]
Both characters on each team must ground-pound the tiles to change them to the team's color, either red or blue. A character can ground-pound the edges and vertices between tiles to change more than one at once, specifically up to four of them. It is possible for a character to stun their opponent by either jumping onto them, punching them, kicking them, or ground-pounding them. If a character falls off the platform, a Fly Guy rescues them and puts them back onto the stage. When the 30-second timer runs out is, the team with more tiles matching their color wins, but if there are eight tiles corresponding to each team's color, the minigame ends in a tie.
