Standard DK is Donkey Kong's standard kart in Mario Kart DS, with his other karts being the Rambi Rider and the Wildlife. It is a yellow kart, with DK's logo on it in red. The kart has great Speed, average Acceleration, poor Handling, good Drift, and good items.
It shares its speed with Wario's Dragonfly, its acceleration with the Wildlife, Wario's Brute and Standard WR, R.O.B.'s Standard RB and ROB-LGS. It shares its weight with Luigi's Streamliner, Waluigi's Standard WL and Zipper, and it shares its handling with the Rambi Rider, Bowser's Standard BW and Hurricane.
At for the majority of the game, only Donkey Kong can use this kart, but once all cups in the Mirror Class have been completed, all characters can use this kart.
Donkey Kong later got a Standard Kart L in Mario Kart Wii.
