Purple butterflies

I love butterflies and use the a lot on my cards. I made this butterfly outline die the main focus of my card. The paper is Crafter's Companion. I found some small doilies in my stash so cut one into quarters for two corners. I used lots of dusty concord DI. The sentiment is LOTV. I added a flower spray sing flowers from Wild Orchid and a Britannia die cut in half.

Teal butterfly

I made a purple card using the lovely Doohickey butterfly die a while ago and decided to make another but this time in teal. The paper is an old LOTV one. I have several of these silver corners in my stash and found the silver flowers too, added some cheesecloth, lace, rose and enamel dots.

I have another couple of cards made which I can't share with you yet.  I am also thinking it is time I did some more scrapbooking so you may see some soon.

There is certainly a change in the temperatures so need to pack away the sandals and some of the Summer clothes and rearrange the wardrobes. I look forward to wearing jumpers and boots again.

Vintage style butterfly

I had this idea in my head for a couple of days and love how it turned out. The Doohickey butterfly die makes a beautiful diecut but is rather large so I made it the focal point of the card. I cut it from lilac card and used Dusty Concorde DI on some of it. The paper is from an old Gorjuss Girl pack and the lace is from Crafty Ribbons. I added some cheesecloth, flowers, metal corners and enamel dots.

This afternoon we off to form our bubble with my Mum. It will be so nice to go into her house and not worry about social distancing and we can give her a hug at last. Mum usually only goes into town for a few things once a week and we have hardly been anywhere and when we do we all very careful about handwashing and sanitising so feel perfectly safe to do this. It will be nice to have a bit of near normality.  There comes a point where we have to start doing more but we will be taking that very slowly and won't be rushing into the city to go round the shops any time soon.

Teddy and penguin

I still have a number of the coloured diecut images that LOTV used to make. This one is Teddy and Penguin. I also have the rubber stamp of this so must get that out to colour some time. I used Dovecraft Glad Tidings papers and a Sue Wilson cut and lift poinsettia and leaf die set.  I added some Stickles and used a Viva pearl pen for snow.

I have some gorgeous new digis from LOTV to colour so will be sharing some sneak peeks shortly.

My brave knight

I am working on some special cards I can't share yet but I also needed some anniversary cards as I am completely out of stock and as I have two craft fairs this week I had a look through my coloured toppers. This is an old diecut from Lili of the Valley which is very cute I think. I used some old First Edition papers, Martha Stewart leaf punch, flowers and wooden hearts from Hobbycraft. I coloured the hearts with a Nuvo strawberry bonbon glitter pen.

One day soon when we have a dry day we must do the last of the tidying in the garden. There are still a few things flowering so we keep putting it off but it really needs doing and then that will be it until Springtime.  Unfortunately today isn’t the day as we woke up to rain. This afternoon I will be getting my stock ready for tomorrow's craft fair at the hospital.  I always do well there so hoping for good sales again.

Autumn bouquet

Finding different cards for my class to make is interesting and when I was deciding what to choose this month I remembered I used to make this style of card several years ago. I have to bear in mind most of them aren't, nor do they aspire to be, cardmakers. They just enjoy the class.

The card is a chance for them to play with various punches and dies and arrange them into a bouquet. I cut and folded a doily then used various papers and card with punches and dies to create the flowers and leaves. I raised some of them with small foam pads and added pearls and enamel dots.  I also added a small bow, punched butterfly and a LOTV sentiment.

Wedding Day

Thanks for all the likes on my tooth fairy pillows. I took some restocks into Prima Rosa yesterday including this card. When I went in there I stopped to talk to a lady I met there once before and she introduced me to her friend for whom she bought one of my cards. They both said how beautiful it was and asked what I was bringing in. I showed them and they both bought something and I was so pleased one of them was a tooth fairy pillow.

So onto my card which I made using an old LOTV diecut. I still have a few of these to use. There are still some sock of these available in the LOTV outlet store on Etsy. The image is also available as a digi stamp to colour.  I used some Anna Marie paper, cheesecloth, a very old sentiment banner and some flowers from Hobbycraft. I coloured the wooden hearts with a pink sparkle pen and as it was brighter than I wanted, dabbed some off then coloured with a white sparkle pen. I also used a clear sparkle pen on the flowers and ribbon on the image.

Champagne in the bath

I still have several of the old Lili of the Valley coloured diecuts in my stash and am determined to use some of them this year. So far I have been very frugal with my crafty purchases. I did buy some half price dies from Swedish House Crafts this week and a stamp and paper pad from a local craft shop. I am on a mission to use a lot more older stuff this year.

So my papers are Crafter's Companion vintage Wedding. I added some burlap with lace from Ebay and used some old punches for the flowers and a folk art heart punch from Hobbycraft. The sentiment stamp is from a very useful set from Stamposaurus.

Our builder friend is coming his morning to measure up the bathroom and look at the products we have chosen for our conversion to a shower room. Think we will be spending a day at home today.

Perfect Moments

This is the second card I made for Papercraft Inspirations using the Nitwits Anabelle digital kit.  For this one I used a MFT scalloped border die, Go Kreate frilly 10 die, lace from Crafty Ribbons and a small bow.

Happy New Year

This seems like a good card to start off a new year. It is one of two cards I was commissioned to make for Papercraft Inspirations. Most of the items are from the Nitwits Annabelle digital kit. I simply add a small white doily, pink heart pins, wooden butterflies with added glitter pen and some flowers from Wild Orchid.

Christmas wreath

I was commissioned to make a Christmas wreath for the latest edition of Crafts Beautiful so a rather different card from me today. I used Nitwits 'Twas the Night papers. The frame was cut with a large Go Kreate frilly squares die. I diecut lots of Memory Box stitched snowflakes to create the wreath, adding red pearls to the centres and a Gorjuss bow.

Time for Tea

I am still on my mission to use up some of my supplies so I thought I would take a look through some diecuts and came across a part used pack of Pebbles diecuts which I got when I was on a DT. I love using teacups and teapots but unfortunately I don't like drinking tea, coffee for me please.

The papers are Bo Bunny double dot damask. I made a frame out of patterned card using two Go Kreate frilly square 9 dies. I really like the effect so no doubt you will see one of these again. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and I added some enamel dots. I had an email from Wild Orchid that their Summer sale is on so I will be checking my flower boxes and seeing what I need.

By the sea at Crafts Beautiful

The latest Crafts Beautiful magazine was published yesterday and this is a nautical card I was commissioned to make for them. I used MFT Sweet Sunshine papers and Joy seashore dies.  I cut circles out of the top paper, wrapped some twine around the lifebuoy and used a Fiskars tag punch and some enamel dots.

Nautical but nice!

A card made just with diecuts today.  I have a thing for making aperture cards at the moment and the Joy seashore dies fit perfectly into my circular apertures. I used Wild Honey Distress Ink on the dies, and used a Fiskars tag punch.

Bon voyage

The last of four cards made for Papercraft Inspirations with a travel theme. The papers are Trimcraft simply creative around the world. I used a Hobbycraft plane die, MFT stitched scalloped basic edge die and Hobbycraft star punches.

Off to the Sincerely Yours craft show today. Looking forward to seeing Faye and Tracy at Dies to Die For where I shall probably buy some dies and maybe some stamps. Nothing in particular I need will just be nice to see what is new and meet up with some crafty friends.

Embossed snowflakes

The last embossed card this week using products I haven't used for a couple of years I should think. I like to look back on some of my makes on Pinterest and when I saw a couple of cards I had previously made using this lovely Sizzix snowflake die and matching embossing folder I thought it was time it was used again. The Crafter's Companion 6x6 embossing folder also hasn't been used for some time. I added some snowflake ribbon, sprayed the snowflakes with spray and sparkle and added a sentiment I found already stamped up.

Camper van travels

This is another of the cards made for Papercraft Inspirations. I was asked to make two good luck cards with a travel theme. The VW camper is a Marianne die which I bought a while ago and had never used. I used various scraps of paper to make a psychedelic camper. I also used MFT rolling hills, Joy bunting and Nellie Snellen flower dies.

I would like to enter the patterned paper challenge at Simon Says.

Today we are popping out and about. We have some things for the charity shop and need to get some shopping.

Adventure awaits

This was a fun card to make for Papercraft Inspirations. I was asked to make two bon voyage cards and was sent some 12x12 papers. Trimcraft Simply Creative around the world. I cut the globe from one of the papers and used various dies. The labels on the suitcase were from another of the papers.  I also added some wide jute ribbon.

Sympathy

I think sympathy cards should be kept fairly simple and this is one I made a little while ago. I used a Memory Box Chloe stem die and added a velvet bow. The sentiment is from an Inkylicious set.

We are going to visit a friend this afternoon to see the new house her husband built now that it is finished with the flooring and fittings. We saw it part built so it will be interesting to see it completed.

Happy New Year

Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2018.

The last of five cards I made for Papercraft Essentials in the 5 cards for £10 feature seems an appropriate card for today. If you saw my previous posts you will know that I had to make the cards using a champagne glass die, gold glitter card and a pack of coloured glitter. I used to die to create two apertures and backed them with gold glitter card. For the purple glitter strip I attached a strip of double sided tape and sprinkled with glitter.

I would like to enter this into the anything goes challenge at Simon Says.
