Babyls Demon School (悪魔学校バビルス Devil School Babyls) is a prestigious school in the demon world run by the principal, Lord Sullivan.
The renowned academy has been teaching students of both lower and higher status of demon families, facilitating their predestination by increasing, or to an extent, decreasing their demon ranks as they stay in the school.
In the demon realm, where humans are considered little more than a myth (and a food source in their school hymn), the entire student cohort (excluding Iruma) and the teachers are demons.
Structure[]
Babyls is located at the top of the enormous cliff, whose surroundings greatly resemble uncanny mountains. There are a lot of towers inside the academy, and several spiky-like buildings are all over the place. There are also fences surrounding it, but the school's exterior walls are high enough to be regarded as a partition from the outside. Babyls can be reached either by an aerial route (by demons flying) or simply by walking and entering through a large gate in the center, probably the only entrance to the school.
Student Count[]
A total number of 666 students are currently enrolled in the school, spread out through 6 grades.[1] Iruma's batch (the first-year students at the start of the series) consisted of 163 students divided into groups A, B, C, D, E and the Abnormal Class.[2]

Alma Mater Anthem[]
Humans, they are loved
For after all they taste so very good
Suck them dry, blood and plasma
Flesh and marrow, their whole brood
May the sound of our mighty wings as we fly
Bring you fear
Bow to us, we are demons
In your nightmares we appear
As we sing this song from our crimson-soaked lips
Now you know
Scream for us, we are demons
And to hell you all will go
Humans only exist to be our food
Suck them dry, soul, blood, flesh, and all
Tremble at the sound of black wings as we take flight
For we are demons
As this song pours forth from our red lips
Scream for us, for we are demons
Our castle is the greatest evil
Its name is Babyls, a solitary place for study
Sacrificing our souls, blood, and meat without leaving anything behind
We shall aim for the demon's top

Ranking system[]
For more information, see Demon Ranking System.
Babyls runs off the same ranking system used by Demons throughout the entire demon realm. During school, demons can gain their first rank and continue ranking up, corresponding to a rise in social status. The bare minimum required to graduate is Rank 4 and above.
Demons of the top rank, Yodh, are candidates for the title of "Demon Lord."

Uniforms[]
The standard uniforms for Babyls students are either:
- (For boys) An Olympic-blue blazer with white details lining the edges, pockets, and cuffs, matching pants with white stripes lining the ankles, and a red bow adorned with a red demon-eye decoration.
- (For girls) A white short-sleeved sailor blouse with red trim and white stripes along the cuffs, a red skirt, and a large red ribbon tied around the collar and adorned with a red demon-eye decoration.
These uniforms have small openings in the back for the wings and tail to slip through. The sailor blouse's sleeves are lengthened during the cold months, and capelets are added to both uniforms.
Due to the school's permissive dress code, some students may discard the ribbon, open the blazer to display the unregulated undershirt, or even wear an altogether alternative uniform custom-made to the student's liking. Some students blend half of the girls' and boys' uniforms together, as indicated by Opera and Judain.
Year Level[]
There are six-year levels in Babyls, and a student's year level is indicated by the stripes/spikes on their uniform.
- First-year: one thin stripe/one small spike
- Second-year: two thin stripes/two small spikes
- Third-year: one thick stripe/one large spike
- Fouth-year: one thick stripe and one thin stripe/one large spike and one small spike
- Fifth-year: one thick stripe and two thin stripes/one large spike and two small spikes
- Sixth-year: two thick stripes/two large spikes
Subjects[]
All students are required to study academically, although there are some options of different subjects they can choose in associating to their likeness. Some are done only at their starting year and optional after or are required for all students to partake. Few of the subjects are gender-exclusive as well, but overall they are mostly to be done recurrently throughout the year. These are prerequisite subjects and elective subjects, respectively.
List of Subjects[]

Divisions[]
For more information, visit the Battler page.
The purpose of Divisions (師団バトラ, Batora) (or Battlers Battura) is to gather students of common skills and interests to interact with each other to help improve either magic, knowledge, physical prowess as well as train leadership skills. They may rise up in the ranks depending on how well they perform. In Alice's view, Divisions are groups that concentrate on raising ranks.[3] About 60% of the total population of Babyls' students are engaged in such activities as it is one of the best ways of forging necessary relationships or connections with upper-level students. There is a Division Tower in the school specifically for such activities.[4]
Student Council[]
Within Babyls there exists a class-run student council. Even though the Student Council is being considered as a Division, this council mainly oversees a variety of duties, including organization of student events, student discipline and student clubs. The current Student Council President is Azazel Ameri, known for her strict and often violent discipline. School and demon culture can make discipline rather odd; on occasion, students can be lectured and disciplined for causing trouble halfheartedly and punished more severely than if they'd caused more damage. For example, a student has been seen scolded for destroying school windows, but not for bothering to break down the walls.
