Seventh Spear, Sandaaru is the second-in-command of Space Ninja Group Jakanja, the leader of the Seven Dark Spears and the secondary antagonist of Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger.
He is voiced by Shuichi Ikeda.
What Makes Him Magnificent?[]
- While the rest of the Jakanja are on Earth, Sandaaru singlehandedly obtained the Sealed Stone holding Raging Arrow medal from planet Astrum.
- Upon his arrival, Sandaaru takes command of the Seven Dark Spears and convinces them to put aside their past rivalries and work together (except Fifth Spear, Sargain), turning them into an effective fighting force.
- Is able to trick the Hurricanegers into breaking the seal on the Raging Arrow, allow him to obtain its medal.
- After Sargain is defeated in a mecha battle with the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers, Sandaaru makes a backup of his Karakuri system and covertly eliminates him on order of Tau Zant, without the other Dark Spears knowing.
- Was dangerous enough to force Kagura, the Hurricanegers' benefactor, to personally intervene to rescue them. In the process he discovered that she was the living seal for the Grieving Bow, the Raging Arrow's companion artifact.
- Using this new information, Sandaaru has his Fan Ninja Beast Madogi create evil duplicates of the Hurricangers, Gouraigers and Shurikengers to lure them out and tricks them into defeating their duplicates, causing them to be caught by Madogi's collars and fall under his control. Sandaaru then has them all attack Kagura so she'll feel sorrow at having to fight her allies, weakening the seal on the Grieving Bow and allowing him to extract it from her.
- After Sixth Spear, Satarakura gathers enough darkness for Tau Zant's ultimate transformation, Sandaaru is sent to retrieve the darkness and dispose of him. Sandaaru slices off Satarakura's mask to drive him crazy before taking the sack full of darkness and departing, leaving the ninja Sentai with a rampaging Satarakura to deal with. This results in Shurikenger dying when he sacrifices himself to defeat Satarakura.
- Anticipating that Tau Zant plans to dispose of him as well, Sandaaru waits for Tau Zant to assume his giant Ultimate Form and use the Raging Arrow and Grieving Bow to begin the ritual invoking it, before killing Tau Zant with a well-placed shot between the eyes and hijacking the ritual.
- He initially attempts to dispose of both First Spear, Furabiijo and Fourth Spear, Wendinu as well under the belief they'll try to avenge Tau Zant, but after they pledge loyalty to him he spares them and lets them become his new right-hands.
- Grows himself giant to battle the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers in their mecha and bests both of them. He's only defeated when the Gouraigers sacrifice Gouraijin and seemingly themelves in the process.
- Returns one last time after being brought back by the Evil Will to fight against the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers.
What Makes Him A Baddie?[]
- Destroyed planet Astrum in the process of obtaining the Raging Arrow medal.
- Killed Sargain, his own teammate, partly out of a dislike for him.
- Forced the ninja Sentai to attack Kagura in order to cause her psychological distress and then killed her by extracting the Grieving Bow medal from her.
- Drove Satarakura, who genuinely liked him, crazy by slicing off his mask and left him behind to rampage.
- Was responsible for gathering the pieces Tau Zant needed to invoke "It" to destroy and recreate the universe, and after commandeering the ritual from him continues to see it through so he can become ruler of the new universe.
