Bobby Lacoste (ボビー・ラコステ Bobī Rakosute) is a character from the Macross 7 television series. He is one of the pilots for the Jamming Birds, and part of the "Jamming Boys".
History[]
Bobby was original a pop star before he was cast in the two-hour drama "Lynn Minmay Story," He was selected as a substitute for Basara Nekki as the latter refused to work on the project. Bobby himself knew the work was regarded as propaganda for the military and the government, but nevertheless took the job. He was to be a substitute for the role of Hikaru Ichijyo, and tried to have his way with his leading lady, Mylene Flare Jenius in his hotel room but is suddnely attacked by a Varauta Army Infiltrator (Vampire). He loses his Spiritia and is later hospitalized.
After being discharged from the hospital, he received an audition by JOCV for the military musical unit Jamming Birds. He was selected as one of the male members for the “Jamming Boys”, together with Ryohei Ryuhei and Madison Frankel.

- Arihiro Hase was cast as Bobby, who ironically enough also played Hikaru Ichijyo in the Super Dimension Fortress Macross television series.
- Bobby's first appearance in Macross 7 Episode 11, voice actor Yutomo Meguron played Vrlitwhai Kridanik instead of the original actor. Yuka Meguro reprises his role as Quamzin Kravshera in the same scene.
