The result was speedy keep under WP:SK#1. The nominator, myself, has chosen to withdraw the deletion discussion due to another editor discovering multiple sources.--Rockchalk717 20:00, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Fails WP:GNG, I can only find articles talking about his son's football recruitment process, and a single local article from a news station in South Carolina where he lives. He also fails WP:NCOLLATH as he was never won a National award, has not been and probably will not be inducted in the Hall of Fame, and did not gain National attention for his individual performance. His only notability is being a part of the T. C. Williams state championship team featured in the movie Remember the Titans. Rockchalk717 06:31, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

- Delete, doesn't meet WP:GNG or WP:NGRIDIRON. No evidence of notability - a fictionalized version of him was used in Remember the Titans.
- Keep. Bass was the starting quarterback at a Division IA team (South Carolina) for two years and finished third among the school's all-time leaders in total offense. See here. A search of on-line sources turns up hundreds of hits. Some of it is game coverage, but there are also numerous articles focusing on Bass as the main topic. E.g., (1) "'Sunshine' back at the beach: Character in 'Remember the Titans' based on prep career", (2) "Bass Not New Grantz", (3) "Bass Is No Grantz' He's On His Time", (4) "Sports Illustrated Honors USC Quarterback Ron Bass", (5) "QB Ron Bass May Be Lost", (6) "USC Is Ron Bass' Team Now", (7) "Comeback Player Wins SE Honors", (8) "South Carolina Depends On Junior Ron Bass", (9) "Bass, Brumley S.C. AP Players Of Week", (10) "Remembering the Titans: Football through the eyes of Ron Bass", and (11) "Greenville man does more than remember Titans Ron Bass was their quarterback". He is also the subject of (12) Chapter 80 in "100 Things South Carolina Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die" (here). Cbl62 (talk) 02:50, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
