Hi, this is not a reliable source. Please see the article talk page for a discussion. We will wait for Jackson to announce this himself. --Rodhullandemu 12:10, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Sierra Leone, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. T L Miles (talk) 23:50, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Bengali language
[edit]This sort of edit is not acceptable. I'll assume this is well intentioned, but entering references to Sierra Leone in Bengali articles "to honor Bangladesh peacekeepers to Sierra Leone" is not the purpose of an encyclopedia, and is essentially vandalism. A brief view of your other contributions seem equally problematic. Please review some of the basics at Help:Contents before contributing to the project. Thanks you. T L Miles (talk) 01:15, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- Regardless, you must provide references. Period. Full stop. That's how it works. Saying "it was referenced elsewhere", and then sending me a link that doesn't work won't do. And your edits generally have been unsourced and/or inaccurate. From the Cricket player's bio where you wrote he had been banned, and only included a reference to an article that said he "may be" banned in the future, to your insistence on Bengali language articles. Wikipedia works via verifiability not truth. Unreferenced "truth" will likely be deleted. Please provide a reference in the article in question (not to me) before making changes. T L Miles (talk) 21:53, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
In the article on Sierra Leone, I've moved your referenced edit to the main text so that it can be explained. Although there are two references (I've added one) for your claim, the "official status" is disputed (see talk page of Sierra Leone). Dbfirs 16:54, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Re: John Eisendrath
[edit]Regarding your comments on the talk page for John Eisendrath. The problem wasn't the Reference section. It was one of your sources. examiner.com is on a website "blacklist" and is not considered a reliable source. I have removed this, and added the reference section. Just as a side note, since you sourced it several times, but IMDb is also not considered a reliable source. --Logical Fuzz (talk) 09:31, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Rizwana Hasan
[edit]On 27 July 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Rizwana Hasan, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that attorney Rizwana Hasan's focus on regulations for the shipbreaking industry in Bangladesh earned her the Goldman Environmental Prize? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

[edit]Hello. I noticed that you attempted to file a deletion discussion (on the article Economic reforms and social disadvantages) but did not complete the process. Please note that, when listing an article for deletion, a discussion page needs to be made for other users to discuss whether to keep or delete the article. This is typically done by following the steps listed here. Note that if you are editing as an unregistered user, you cannot create a discussion page. Please consider registering an account or asking another user to help you complete the process at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion. Thank you. Cind.amuse (Cindy) 09:17, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
September 12 2011 Joseph Mangan Repy to Wikipedia page User talk:Joseph Mangan has been created by Ratibgreat
[edit]Hello Ratibgreat, I received an email notification from you, (Subject:Wikipedia page User talk:Joseph Mangan has been created by Ratibgreat) with regard to changes I had made to Joseph Mangan. I'm not quite sure if this is even the proper place to reply. I am the individual cited in the article, and I have not previously had an account, nor made an edit, so if I have violated any existing process, I deeply apologize. I had made 2 minor edits with regard to the accuracy of statements made. The final aircraft certification review was performed with my participation, to assure that the identified issues had been addressed before the aircraft recieved it's certification approval. The verification for the issues existence is contained in the London Daily Telegraph Article written by Ambrose Evans Pritchard (3. Evans-Pritchard, Ambrose (October 15, 2005). "Airbus whistleblower faces prison". Daily Telegraph (London): pp. 31. Retrieved 2007-07-10.) where he references an EASA insider who confirmed the facts of non-compliance. If you require anything further, please do not hesitate to ask. Greetings and very best regards! Joseph Mangan Joseph Mangan (talk) 11:26, 12 September 2011 (UTC) Edit:Was not able to find a talk tab on the page, so not quite sure how to add an edit request (submit proposed edits for review on the article's talk page along with a Request edit tag to attract users to review the edit, or to file a request for comment.) Confusing header
[edit]Hi, I notice you added a rather confusing header to your talk page here [1] which may mislead people who visit the page into thinking they have a message at their own talk page. Was this accidental? It may be a good idea to remove it to avoid confusion for other editors. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 14:15, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
Subpages
[edit]Hi. I've declined two speedies for being unneeded subpages. I don't think that's the right category, as they appear to be stand-alone articles. I've tagged both for no refs and notability doubts. If you find a category that fits, go ahead - or prod or AfD them. Peridon (talk) 19:10, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

About G8
[edit]And now I find how spammy the Speedy Deletion Helper can be! Sorry about that. G8 is specific; it means a sub-article as in ArticleName/Subarticle. For example, archive pages are usually subpages of talk pages. The WP:Administrators' noticeboard has a number of subpages; the articles, plus WP:Administrators' noticeboard/3RR, WP:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents, WP:Administrators' noticeboard/Arbitration enforcement, headers for all those pages, etc. If there is no forwardslash in the link, it is not a subpage. Hope this helps! KillerChihuahua?!?Advice 19:52, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- My apologies for not explaining that above. In the end, Gogo Dodo spotted something I missed - fictional characters can be got under A7 if they're web content. (They can't be if they're in print or on ordinary TV - or just simply mythological.) At times you need to be a Jesuit crossed with a rabbi AND be a qualified barrack-room lawyer to work here... Keep up the good work. Your aim was good even though the arrow was not the right one for the job. Peridon (talk) 19:03, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
New Manuel Cardona page
[edit]Dear Ratibgreat: Sorry but I did not find the user talk knob. I hope you get this communication. Concerning my page (MANUEL CARDONA) let me clarify that I have pages in 4 languages which I did not write. In fact, I do not know who the authors are. All I wanted to do is translate one of them and place it in e-wikipedia. If this is not considered ethical, I'll do without it. Let me mention that I am the most highly cited physicist in Germany, probably in Europe. You are probably familiar with the h (HIRSCH) number. Mine is 100. THere are only about 8 physicists worldwide with an h number of 100 or higher. If you are not familiar, let me mention that h=100 means that I have 100 papers cited 100 times or more. Thank you for your help. If you agree, I shall produce a translation of the German version and send it to you for formatting and further processing. I have done this already recently but I did not keep the name of the editor. All attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful. Thanks and cheers Manuel — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.180.85.43 (talk) 10:51, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

New Page Patrolling
[edit]Hi. I'm just letting you know that there are strong recommendations not to tag A1 and A3 articles not too quickly in order to allow them time to develop. Although the article 楚水实验学校 is far from perfect, especially with its Chinese page name, further reserch would have shown you that the creator is being mentored as part of a school/university project. You could also have considered moving the page to an English name with redirect, or notifying the creator of what s/he has done wrong. Patrolling involves far more than just tagging new pages, please now read WP:NPP before patrolling any more pages. Thanks. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 05:18, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

- Excellent! The Wikimedia Foundation has been on a big push lately to encourage new good-faith contributors. I think that personalized messages help (especially when we make a mistake with a deletion tag on their first article), although I'm not always consistent about doing them myself. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 19:49, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ironically though, new contributors aren't usually able to distinguish personalized messages from templates, the existence of which they are usually unaware of. Anyway, good night to you :). Ratibgreat (talk) 19:55, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Tariff.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
