Orphaned non-free media (Image:Stewiegivesup.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Stewiegivesup.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:03, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Rabbitromeo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Rabbitromeo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Agruesometwosome.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Agruesometwosome.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:15, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Bugs's First Appearance
[edit]MrJanitor1, I notice you've been making changes recently in the infobox for the Bugs Bunny article concerning Bugsy's debut. Bugs Bunny did not make his first appearance in Porky's Hare Hunt; he debuted in A Wild Hare, which is considered his first appearance by most animation scholars and by several of the key people behind his creation. See my talk page to read a few discussions over this very topic. Thanks, and happy editing! — Cinemaniac (talk • contribs) 23:25, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Keep Up the Good Work!
[edit]The Missing Barnstar | ||
I had a feeling a Barnstar for you was long overdue, so I thought I'd be the one to present one to you. I'd like to particularly give you props for your contributions to various animation-related articles, including creating articles that some of us other cartoon buffs didn't even think of starting. Keep on keepin' on! — Cinemaniac (talk • contribs) 04:04, 26 January 2008 (UTC) |
Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Charlie Dog, without explaining the reason for the removal in the edit summary. Unexplained removal of content does not appear constructive, and your edit has been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. And if you wish to merge an article with another existing article, it is considered standard Wiki-ettiquete to gain consensus first before performing such an edit. Thank you. — Cinemaniac (talk • contribs) 22:07, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
I have reverted your page move of Association football to Association football/Soccer. This was against a what amounts to a two year discussion on the talk page. The relevant archives can be found at Talk:Association football/Archive 15 and Talk:Association football/Archive 16 and the current talkpage. This needs a requested move opened if you want to move the page. If you have any questions, then please post them to my talkpage. Regards. Woody (talk) 16:29, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Eliot Spitzer. However, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article, or any other Wikipedia page, must include proper sources. Thank you. If you feel that the edit I reverted should not have been reverted, please contact me. --Chris (talk) 22:06, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Sonics merge
[edit]Just out of curiosity, what prompted merging the Sonics article? I thought that the consensus was to keep the articles separate. Dknights411 (talk) 18:19, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- I know that, but there had already been a consensus reached about the two articles, which you completely ignored (as with the Expos article). Before you make ANY moves like this, you HAVE to go to the talk pages first. I'm demerging the articles so we can get more discussion in on it (although we already have). Please be careful next time you do something so rash. Dknights411 (talk) 21:53, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Nationals
[edit]There has been a consensus reached that there is two separate pages for the expos and the nationals. Please do not add expos information without discussing it on the talkpage. Thanks --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 18:51, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent edit to Seattle SuperSonics relocation to Oklahoma City appears to be a form of vandalism and has been reverted. Please do not make unhelpful edits to articles. Thanks. Okiefromokla complaints 02:31, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- I apologize. After looking into your account, I notice you have been around Wikipedia a while and therefore your edit was probably not intentional vandalism (and therefore not vandalism at all). I jumped the gun a little bit due to the phrase "Bennett and his men" and the similarity your edit had to disgruntled Seattle fans who have been vandalizing somewhat. I see you also moved Seattle SuperSonics to the OKC team's page, which is something that has recently been discussed and rejected. No harm was done, so it's ok. Just remember to discuss changes that could be controversial before making them, and see if you can build consensus for your proposed edit. The same should have been done before making your edit to Seattle SuperSonics relocation to Oklahoma City. Thanks. Okiefromokla complaints 02:50, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- Please do not enter false information into articles, which is forbidden by our policy against hoaxes. An example of this is when you edited Oklahoma City National Basketball Association team with the addition of: "A Newspaper contest was held to name the team. the nicknames came down to the final four the Barons, Outlaws, Thunderbirds and the Thunder. Clay Bennett said it will either be the Barons or Outlaws. by popular demand the fans want the colors to be Black and Gold. this is similar to the Baltimore Ravens naming."
- and: "the team is expected to be named either the Barons or the Outlaws according to Bennett's word."
- Your edits seem to be bordering on disruptive; please do not keep it up, or you could be blocked from editing. If you need help deciding what additions to make, please bring up proposed changes on the talk page or feel free to message me on my talk page. A good way to avoid this kind of confusion is to add references with claims of this nature. Okiefromokla complaints 19:59, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing, such as the edit you made to Template:SonicsCoach. If your vandalism continues, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. PatrickFlaherty (talk) 20:09, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Prudential Center appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Michael Greiner 19:31, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Moving OKC NBA article
[edit]I agree with changing the name of the article, but this move needs to be discussed. Your first attempt to move the page was reverted [1] by an editor who wanted discussion prior to any move, and that request needs to be honored. I'll start a discussion on the talk page, where I'm sure it will pass easily. In the meantime, I ask you to refrain from moving the page. Thank you for your cooperation, and feel free to drop a line on my talk page if you have any comments or concerns. Okiefromokla questions? 01:46, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Oklahoma City National Basketball Association team, you will be blocked from editing. Do not attempt to move pages via copy and paste. When the move is appropriate, the article will be retitled; however, the article has been protected against moves to prevent it being moved prematurely. —C.Fred (talk) 19:44, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Republic of China
[edit]Hi, Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Due to the controversial political status of Taiwan, can you please discuss any proposed major article changes, moves, redirects, etc. on the article talk pages before making them? Maintaining a neutral point-of-view here is tricky, to say the least. Thank you.Ngchen (talk) 14:33, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
You need to stop vandalizing articles. The naming issue has been discussed by various editors at length and you are in absolutely no place to unilaterally move it. Blueshirts (talk) 16:56, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. (Note: this refers to the same issue as the user above. removing an article and replacing it with a redirect to a disambiguation page, particularly with one as controversial as Taiwan, is vandalism.) Please note that you have reverted the page once. If you do this twice more, the case may apply to wikipedia's Three Revert Rule. --Utopianfiat (talk) 17:03, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

July page moves and block
[edit]For the past month, you've made a number of unilateral page moves or merges without A) adhering to WP:MOS and/or B) discussing your actions with other editors on the article talk page. The following articles were affected included:
- Oklahoma City National Basketball Association team redirected to Seattle Supersonics (July 5, ignored talk consensus)
- Montreal Expos redirected to Washington Nationals (July 5, no prior discussion to change; ignored lengthy history of discussion of past consensus)
- NBA All-Star Game moved to National Basketball Association All-Star Game (July 10, no prior discussion or reference to Wiki-policies)
- New York metropolitan area moved to New York-Newark metropolitan area {July 15, no prior discussion before move)
- Abraham Simpson redirected to Simpson family# Abraham Simpson (July 16)
- Oklahoma City National Basketball Association team moved to Oklahoma City National Basketball Association franchise (July 17, ignored WP:MOS, no prior discussion before move)
- Various moves and redirects to Chinese (history) articles on July 20; most notably
- Oklahoma City National Basketball Association team moved to Oklahoma City Thunder, 2008–09 Oklahoma City NBA franchise season moved to 2008–09 Oklahoma City Thunder season {July 20, no prior discussion before move, name has not been officially recognized by team or league sources)
Due to your continuous history of disruptive editing (i.e., your unilateral page moves), you've been block for a period of 2 weeks. Please take this time away from editing to reflect upon your recent actions and to brush up on Wikipedia's many policies. Thanks. --Madchester (talk) 13:56, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Abraham Simpson
[edit]I noticed that you added a mergeto tag to the article. Could you please state your reasoning here? Thanks, Scorpion0422 04:13, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
