I think the part about Snape 'protecting' the students is a bit much, esp. when we consider that his true nature isn't really revealed until the end. I am not saying he is a dick, but he does seem rather above being all protective of the students. That's what drove the revert. No offense as to your editing skills was intended. OK, thanks for the reply, no worries at all. Yes, as I made the edit, I was thinking about the same issue as yourself, but I couldn't find another 'suitable' word other than 'protecting'. The Salem Witch Trials Task Force Newsletter Volume I, September 2007
Project News We have just initiated a SWTTF Collaboration. It is an effort to bring a selected article in the scope of this Task Force to at least GA status. Our current collaboration is, our main article, the Salem Witch Trials. You may nominate an article for the next collaboration here. We have also just created a new unit, the SWTTF Anti-Vandalism Unit. This Unit concentrates on stopping, preventing, reverting, and reporting vandalism in articles within the scope of this Task Force. This Unit also focuses on cleaning up articles as well. Although all members of this Task Force are encouraged to revert vandalism, to specifically be a member of this Unit please sign yourself up here. Hello. Thanks for the message. Yes, the US schools do need doing too, but I'd run out of energy by the time I'd worked my way through the UK ones. Might be a couple missing there too - or did Webber Douglas merge with Central? I dunno, but they're categorised together now, so maybe. Don't know if you're active in the theatre project or not, but it'd be good to get your opinion on this if you have a spare moment - don't seem to be too many theatre people around at the moment. You're welcome. Yes it looks like an interesting discussion and I've posted a comment, although I'll probably post more as things progress! I've joined the Wikiproject fully actually - it's one of three I'm involved in, so my time is getting increasingly divided! BTW, as yet I'm unsure about the Douglas school. I know Central kind of merged with the University of London, which means students can have accomodation and such like from that university, but I'm as yet unsure about the Douglas bit. It'll need research. I haven't found anything in Central's prospectus on that, but I'll probably need to have another thorough read through! Happy editing! Lradrama 18:27, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Is a vandalism warning really justified here? The user removed their own question a few minutes after posting it, and moved it to a different Village pump page. The edit summary may have been incorrect, but a vandalism warning seems kind of bitey to me. --Onorem♠Dil 16:50, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

On recent changes patrol, one often goes rather fast and mistakes are common unfortunately. From what I saw, this IP undid a revision by a Bot which signed an unsigned comment, and that is usually considered vandalism by some people. I am sorry you felt it necessary to oppose my recent RfA, which did not succeed. I will attempt to get more experience in the main namespace and the Wikipedia namespace and will try again for RfA in two month's time. I hope I will have satisfied your concerns by then, but if not, please comment as you feel you should. You also voiced concerns about how my bot was so great but I didn't have that many edits. While this is true, if I had taken the time I put into my bot and put it into other areas of Wikipedia, I would have more edits which would put me up around that of other administrators passing RfA. I would appreciate it if you didn’t take it upon yourself to decide what Jimbo can’t be allowed to read. As you can see, Swatjester himself put my alert back in as well as his thoughful response). I had to resort to e-mail Jimbo a link to the discussion page history to ensure he gets the information. I think the database was lagging behind a bit when he checked the diff. It's happened before to me. Thankfully most of the rollback tools, twinkle or otherwise, prevent this. 13:56, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

P.S. I think I saw another occurrence of a discussion topic disappearing. If I start to scroll before the page has fully loaded, it seems to abort the rest of the download. I'm not sure; in this latest case, when I let go of the mouse, the page fully loaded. Regardless, the history file clearly shows that your edit was most proper and had nothing to do with what I wrote. I am terribly sorry for inconveniencing you. I was only being friendly when providing you with the welcome message, I wasn't patronising you in any fashion. Most users, including myself, get a nice welcoming message such as this when we first start out, and I make it common practice to distribute them to newer users, or those who haven't been talked to by anyone yet.
