Hi, just want to improve Wikipedia :)
Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you were a member of the Project Peru group, and you have published Lizárraga’s biography. I’d like to say that is a great addition, as well as invite you to collaborate on an area of my interest. Over the last few months, I have published four biographies relating to figures from the Amazon Rubber boom. My personal favorite, and one you may find interest in, is Benjamin Saldaña Rocca. I have spread myself thin, and therefore seeking collaboration so I can add more information to Wikipedia about the Amazon rubber boom.
These are two drafts I have currently if you would like to check them out. Draft:Inca Mining Company
I also have a list of pages regarding the rubber boom that could use some editing or support, most of them dealing with Peru. Arawoke (talk) 00:50, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
From your mentor
[edit]Hello there, I am your mentor, and I just wanted to say how proud I am of you! keep on going!! -- Grapefanatic (Talk) 13:13, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, I appreciate it! JustEMV (talk) 15:36, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
Albert Giesecke moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Albert Giesecke, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - Great, thanks for the feedback! JustEMV (talk) 22:49, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
Sourcing
[edit]Howdy hello. I see you've been adding info to Inca Empire, but you didn't provide a citation to a reliable source. It looks like you got the information from somewhere though, so I didn't outright remove the edits. But if you could go back and cite your sources that would be helpful. Thanks! - Yep, it's from the Spanish article, which in turn is based on the well-known Royal Commentaries of the Incas, but yes, I forgot to add the source, I'll do it right now. Thanks for the heads up! JustEMV (talk) 21:11, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- Also, nice feature in the NYT :) JustEMV (talk) 22:02, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Machu Picchu at Good Article
[edit]Hi JustEMV, I've gone to review Machu Picchu at Good articles, but there are a few issues I would like to see addressed before I start.
A few citation needed tags have cropped up since you were last active, they need to be addressed ASAP as another reviewer may quickfail the article on seeing how many there are.
You should also replace sources to IMDB, YouTube and International Business Times with reliable sources.
Thanks, Rollinginhisgrave (talk) 12:31, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll fix the issues and replace the sources right away. I'll let you know when everything's updated. JustEMV (talk) 14:33, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Rollinginhisgrave, I've addressed the citation issues and replaced the unreliable sources. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks a lot! JustEMV (talk) 16:51, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, I've spent an hour going through so far and I will be failing the article, I'm sorry. I'll post up the review and you can have a look why, but the sourcing issues were a lot deeper than I initially thought. I hope this doesn't discourage you, because it is a jumping off point for improving it. Rollinginhisgrave (talk) 18:19, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the update. A highly detailed review would be very helpful for addressing the issues. I appreciate your feedback and will use it to make improvements. JustEMV (talk) 18:25, 17 August 2024 (UTC)

About translations
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from es:Servicio Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado to Servicio Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you.
Please note the fact that an edit summary with a link to the original article is required. The translated template is great, but completely optional. Thanks, GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 20:03, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi! I was not aware of that. I will definitely do that in the future. JustEMV (talk) 00:31, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
