Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175
Dear EmmaCoop,
Greetings!
As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.
Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.
Thank you and maraming salamat po!
Kind regards,

Yes, I think it's a lousy new title. .______. I suggest we merge this page into "Reactions to Innocence of Muslims#Condemnation of violence". — Hasdi Bravo • 19:27, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Edmodo logo.png)
Thanks for uploading File:Edmodo logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:10, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

I noticed you changed the map for this article to the much more attractive vector map. Unfortunately, that map is not really appropriate for the article as discussed here, so I reversed your change. If you have the skills to modify the map so that it doesn't show gains/losses of electoral votes, it would be very helpful if you could do so and then replace the image. Black Ops DS Zombies
Hey, JCRules thanks for removing black ops DS zombies from the list, I was going to do it myself but couldn't find time. However I have a doubt about it's removal myself. Black Ops has a separate version on the Nintendo DS. Also it's Zombies campaign is separate from the main version on the consoles and PC. That's what the Call of Duty wiki says. I have a doubt if it should be removed or kept since it is a separate campaign and according to CoD wiki it is canon to the zombies story arc. The separate Zombies story arc was created by me when I saw that it was not at all related to the main timeline and had a separate fictional universe. KahnJohn27 (talk) 12:32, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
- I removed the entry to preserve formatting. If someone would wish to create the article, they can. JC · Xbox · Talk · Contributions 17:55, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
- Actually I don't think it can have a separate article. Still I guess we don't need it since black ops zombies is already mentioned and it includes all versions until mentioned otherwise. I don't think a separate DS version will qualify for an article. Also why is there is no edit button with any section of your talk page. I had to click the edit tab and open the whole article. Not that it was a problem but I just wanted to reply to one comment. Have you changed the settings of your talk page? KahnJohn27 (talk) 12:40, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Cut-and-paste move
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give 2013 Korean crisis a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. —David Levy 22:53, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- I couldn't do that because I created North Korea crisis, not knowing that an article about the topic already existed. And, CNN used "North Korea crisis" as the name. There wouldn't be any actual way to move the page except so. Only two pages were associated with the copy-and-paste. I already mentioned it. To clarify, I am quite aware of the move tab, but since the destination page already existed, the move was impossible. JC · Xbox · Talk · Contributions 23:10, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- You lack the technical capability (because it entails deletion), but Wikipedia administrators are able to perform such moves. As noted above, if you're unable to rename a page because another page already exists at the target title, please follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to have it moved by someone else.
- Also note that CNN's use of a particular description doesn't make it the subject's official name. Reliable sources have described the situation via various terms. —David Levy 23:43, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:1024px-Chord chart.svg
A tag has been placed on File:1024px-Chord chart.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Addihockey10 e-mail 20:36, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

Why I deleted the Pacers
The Indiana Pacers or LA Lakers aren't a true rival with the Miami Heat in the way the other 3 teams are. Also I believe that something shouldn't be added to make a page look better. So that is why I deleted the Pacers and Lakers link. Thank you for looking out for the page though. Marine Special Operations Regiment (United States)
While I haven't done an in-depth review, I think that the tagging of Marine Special Operations Regiment (United States) as a G12 isn't valid. While the material matches that of this site, that site has a history going back only as far as 2011 (that I can find), and may well be a copy of the Wikipedia material. The Wikipedia page was started in 2007. At the time it had a reference, which is now a dead link, but is likely to be this page, which at first glance looks like a source, but not a copy paste.
Consequently, I am declining the speedy. If you think I haven't looked closely enough, please let me know.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 14:49, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
