Since I "semi-protected" the article, I don't think I should rule on any requests to edit. Bearian (talk) 22:52, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hot dog. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. As discussed, you are in the midst of edit warring and you need to communicate on the talk page instead of simply try to remove the content to get your way. - As mentioned on the article talk page, during a dispute on content, we revert to the WP:STATUSQUO and attempt to form a consensus. Being that you have removed the content four times now (1, 2, 3, 4), and you've been reverted by multiple people, you are categorically edit warring and should engage in that discussion and not remove the context again until consensus has formed. - Noting removal #5, which was reverted by a third editor. You then, inappropriately, accused me of using another account. You are welcome to file a report at WP:SPI, stating your evidence of why you believe such, but 30 seconds spent will make crystal clear that we are not the same editors. Hello, I'm Yoshi24517. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Hot dog—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. - I have attempted repeatedly to engage on the talk page. The person reverting my edits refuses to do so. Czetie (talk) 09:25, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- As previously discussed, you have not made a reasonable effort to converse. You repeatedly keep removing content, essentially stating that you don't like it. Content which is contextually relevant, discussed in reliable sources, and cited with reliable sources should not be removed without proper discussion and consensus building.
