Edit to 2024 Sri Lankan parliamentary election
[edit]@Braganza: Hello, thank you for your edits to the 2024 Sri Lankan parliamentary election article. However, I have reverted them as your changes disrupted the vote count totals and altered the established order of precedence for parties, which is consistently maintained in Sri Lankan election articles. Best regards. QEnigma (talk) 15:37, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

[edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 02:15, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in the topics of Syrian Civil War, broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision [[1]]. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

- @Des Vallee: i am not talking about the template, i am talking about the second message about the 1RR. How about we start a discussion and reach a consensus Braganza (talk) 20:37, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- also i had a typo i meant "You don't have to threaten me" sorry if i sounded aggressive Braganza (talk) 20:38, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Braganza: I am mentioning it here to also go in more depth about the rules, because you still haven't reverted that edit, the 1RR rule needs to be followed strictly in regards to this article and it's not optional. And it's totally fine, when I started editing articles I was very similar because it's hard to learn everything and I was much worse at editing then you, you didn't sound aggressive don't worry. That's perfectly fine you will learn, regardless on extremely contentious articles like these we need to follow it very carefully. Des Vallee (talk) 20:45, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
