Template-protected edit request on 12 April 2018

Please add {{for|the template for speedy deletion of redundant files|Template:db-f1}}
to the top of the documentation, because many other letter-number combinations redirect to the speedy criterion and this one is an exception. {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 19:32, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- Not done Pppery moved doc to subpage, you can now edit it yourself (also based on the number of times you request template-protected edits, consider requesting the right yourself :)) Galobtter (pingó mió) 19:50, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- That works too ... {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 19:51, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

Links from 1981 onwards need renaming following recent page moves: FIA Formula One World Championship → Formula One World Championship. Bbb2007 (talk) 20:36, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
- Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the
{{edit template-protected}}
template. - Recent? The redirects are 8 & 12 years old and both redirect to the same page. Cabayi (talk) 23:12, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Cabayi: I think you may have misunderstood the request. The template links to the individual Formula One Championship season articles, e.g. 1981 FIA Formula One World Championship, 1982 FIA Formula One World Championship, etc. These articles have recently been moved (e.g. 1981 FIA Formula One World Championship was moved to 1981 Formula One World Championship, 1982 FIA Formula One World Championship was moved to 1982 Formula One World Championship, etc), so the template needs to be updated accordingly. The required update is to change "{{{1}}} FIA Formula One World Championship" to "{{{1}}} Formula One World Championship". DH85868993 (talk) 14:35, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
Done Removing the "FIA" from "FIA Formula One World Championship" has merely bypassed a redirect, but it's worth doing in case there's another rename in the future (because double redirects won't work). --RexxS (talk) 15:23, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- DH85868993, thanks for clarifying. If nothing else I prove why {{edit template-protected}} says the request should be clear enough "so that an editor unfamiliar with the subject matter could complete the request". Thanks to RexxS for stepping in. And a reminder for Bbb2007 that the documentation needs updating. Cabayi (talk) 16:06, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
