Henshin Call
[edit]I know Yugi fuses with his monsters now. What's the henshin call? 71.111.216.239 01:04, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Claims about discovery
[edit]Without proof (elaborate, unbiased proof), please refrain from making claims about one person/community discovering the series.
Back in February 2006, I saw the second episode first. RTE Two had just aired the final episodes of the Grand Championship Saga prior to broadcasting the first four episodes of Capsule Monsters the following week. I thought that the final season of Yu-Gi-Oh! would be shown, since in the RTE Guide and TVNow magazines, Capsule Monsters was referred to as simply Yu-Gi-Oh! on their television programme listings. When the first four episodes of Capsule Monsters were aired, RTE Two went back to broadcasting Season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. When RTE Two finished doing this in August 2006, it aired the final season of Yu-Gi-Oh!. Afterwards, the whole series of Capsule Monsters was aired in Ireland, and the last five episodes were repeated again. After that, RTE Two began airing Season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX again. As of 2007, RTE Two broadcasts Season 1 episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Season 2 episodes are aired on Tuesday and Thursday.
the existence of the project remained unknown to almost the entire fanbase until 30 January - 2 February 2006, when the Irish children's television strand The Den aired the first four episodes on RTÉ Two. Historically, it was not unusual for RTÉ Two to premiere episodes of the Yu-Gi-Oh! dub some time ahead of other markets (examples include the broadcasting of Virtual World and the conclusion of Battle City between 17 February and 11 May 2004, and the airing of Millennium World & The Ceremonial Battle between 25 November 2005 and 3 January 2006). However, their lack of any kind of promotion or fanfare for Capsule Monsters meant that the series was largely unknown. Kathryn McKiernan, who took Francis Boylan Jnr's place as The Den's presenter on 19 September 2005, was partly responsible for this, as she seemingly had no knowledge of Capsule Monsters being aired and referred to the series as simply Yu-Gi-Oh!. In addition, RTÉ Two had broadcasted Grand Championship between 4 January and 26 January 2006, suggesting that Millennium World and The Ceremonial Battle would be shown instead, as Capsule Monsters was referred to as simply Yu-Gi-Oh! on the television programme listings of the 28 January - 3 February 2006 edition of the RTÉ Guide.
After the first four episodes of Capsule Monsters were aired, RTÉ Two went back to broadcasting Season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX had been shown every Friday since 5 January 2006). When the channel finished doing this on 20 July 2006, it aired Millennium World and The Ceremonial Battle. When that was done, the complete series of Capsule Monsters was aired in Ireland between 25 August - 19 September 2006. Kathryn McKiernan once again had no knowledge of Capsule Monsters and this time referred to the series as Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. She may have mistaken it for the latter, as Capsule Monsters was referred to as Yu-Gi-Oh! GX on the television programme listings of the 19 July - 22 September 2006 editions of the RTÉ Guide.
Episode Summaries
[edit]Could someone write the episode summary for "Fortress of Fear"? I don't have the Capsule Monster episodes on DVD, and I couldn't find that one on the Internet.
Thanks. Cactus Bob 17:53, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Duel Monster Names
[edit]I watch Yu-Gi-Oh!, but I don't play the card game, so I don't know the names of all the monsters. In my summaries, I couldn't include the names I didn't know, so I don't think it's really thorough. Could someone help me out?
Thanks. Cactus Bob 18:02, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
On this note, can someone also include the name of the "wild" monsters? I see Root Water, High Tide Gyoin, gokibore, kurama I think the mantis is kamakiriman, but not sure on this one. Also, the tree should be Trent.. but Yugi said CG had higher attack power... errr... CG is 1400 and trent is 1500.... So I'm at a lose here. Additional note, summoned skull first "apperance" is episode 2, where soloman used its attack. It was not displayed upfront but I think it deserves a mention. yeah.. i just started so haven't watched too many yet.... but wild mobs should go down as the serie goes so... that should be most of them 66.108.242.130 (talk) 07:30, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
TV Tokyo
[edit]Are you sure that Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters will air in Japan, there is no information about on their website - http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/
Date of Show
[edit]It says the show is set in Season 5 of the orignal show, but that can't be true. It has to be before Season 4, most likely between Seasons 3 & 4. Since the start of Season 4, Yugi was too focused on retreaving the Pharaoh's Memory. Also, after Season 4, we went stright to the Grand Championship and then, when Yugi & his friends got back to Japan, they went also most immedently to Egypr for Dawn of the Duel. That isn't enough time for Capsule Monsters.
- Not necessarily. At the end of Grand Championship, we just saw them on a plane. Joey said, "So where to next, Yug?" and then Yugi said "Wherever our adventure takes us next!" and then at the beginning of Dawn of the Duel we see Yugi asleep in his bed. So it could still be possible. There is no way it could be during Season 3 either, as they spent the whole in in the virtual realm and Battle City. So actually it could be between Season 3 and 4... I'm not sure. Matty-chan 02:14, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, I said almost immedently. About a day to 3 days.
Actually, it is official now.

Because of this, should the article be merged into Yu-Gi-Oh! (2000 TV series) and the episode list added to their proper chronologic order in List of Yu-Gi-Oh! media? Because it's more of a story arc like Waking the Dragons or Dawn of the Duel than a mini-series. FallenWings47 (talk) 18:14, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Not enough real-world information
[edit]What company made the series? It says "commissioned, produced, and edited"... but who is drawing it? --Raijinili 14:30, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
I just called Nihon AD Systems
[edit]While NAS is currently devoting most of its resources to developing Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds series as of May 2010, there is a possibility that they can develop and release a Japanese version of Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters sometime in the future. I'll check back with them in December 2010 for more information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joehrex (talk • contribs) 16:13, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
