Square footage
[edit]- This is in response to recent edits by User:Ver333. The mall is 2.0 million square feet? The mall's website states that it is 1.5 million square feet [1]. Another article claims 2.2 million square feet [2]. What is your source? Thanks! --DangApricot 21:41, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- I was there during the time it was built and afterward, it really was 2 million square feet... (half the size of the Mall of America at 4 million without its new additions.) You're welcome... Contacting the current owner by phone would not be effective, as it has changed hands so very many times, that the current owner would not have a definitive answer... There is a large truck driving school in the mall and it's going to take even more space ... So, the current owner might not be counting the school space as retail, even though it's still part of the mall. Burlington Coat Factory is an addition to the mall, so that would explain an upward change to the original sq ft and deducting the truck driving school space would bring the sq ft down.... However, the problem is that the mall is still the size it is, even if it is not used for retail or it is vacant.... Looking on your list, I would like to add some data to other articles you have written.. Do you mind if I do same? Ver333 22:40, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- I encourage your editions! Be bold in your edits. I understand your personal perspective and knowledge is helpful to articles like these. Remember to cite your sources. Keep in mind that other wikipedians are more likely to accept verifiable edits. Also, in your situation, I would recommend looking over the page Wikipedia:No Original Research#Primary, secondary, and tertiary sources. --DangApricot 23:06, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Decline?
[edit]Aside from the obvious financial reasons, the change in economy etc., whast about the fact that Randall Park Mall was plauged with rival gang members who scared the shit out of customers and drove them back out to Beechwood Mall and later to Legacy VIllage?
This was discussed extensively in the Cleveland media at the time.
One paragraph in the decline section says the mall was 93% vacant by 2000, and a few paragraphs later says the mall was about 50% vacant in 2003. Rehcsif (talk) 02:34, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
