Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because...it meets all crietria for notability and inclusion on wikipedia.--Stephen Nightingale (talk) 14:42, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

One Love Party was deleted on 2 June 2016 as per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/One Love Party. Nothing has substantially changed since then. The party keeps standing in elections and keeps coming more-or-less last. While several RS sources mention the party and Mr Love, they do not provide in-depth coverage of the subject as required by WP:GNG or WP:NPOL. Mentions of the party or coverage within election campaigns is insufficient.
It is unclear why a new article has been created as "One Love Party (UK)": the "(UK)" is not needed. User:Stephen Nightingale is a WP:SPA who has appeared today and only edited around this topic. Bondegezou (talk) 14:48, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This party was in the news as contesting both parliamentary by-elections in the UK today. A (UK) suffix is common for parties from the UK.Stephen Nightingale (talk) 14:56, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed the party has been featuring consistently in the mainstream media, individual blogs and forieign media. I've been adding multiple citations and if you take a minute to look through the article's revision history you will notice a lot of changes since the original deletion. While I fully concede the original should have been deleted, it seems the author took the problems with the original piece on board and has since corrected the problems and multiple users have contributed to make this a rather strong piece. It should stay but perhaps the (UK) removed. Drowz0r (talk) 09:57, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Whoa. This article looks like a shrine. What happened to the sacred NPOV? 49.200.244.187 (talk) 06:58, 9 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
