Sources
[edit]I'm a bit perplexed by the sources for this article. They appear to be books that are not in the English language, which isn't a problem - editors can provide translations in many cases. But what I'm wondering is: is this article just original research like a number of similar articles? The same editor has created a series like this based on family trees and photos, some of which were already deleted as OR. This one has more actual footnotes than the others, so perhaps this can be looked into. MezzoMezzo (talk) 13:21, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
- Mr. Mezzomezzo. I have seen your edit wars, and can see clearly that you are an anti-Sufi bigot, and are therefore engaged in a Jihad against Sufism. As part of this jihad you are trying to delete all Sufi bios. Please take your jihad elsewhere, and let wikipedia alone. Hassanfarooqi (talk) 17:36, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- Could you please respond without resorting to personal attacks? MezzoMezzo (talk) 08:25, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
- OK. Maudood Chisti is such a a notable person that many carry his name as their family e.g. Abul Ala Maudoodi the founder of Jamat Islami. If someone with a fake name is eager to delete him, he is a bigot. Otherwise he would want corrections improvements, not deletions. Hassanfarooqi (talk) 16:31, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Requested move 10 March 2024
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: Moved back to Maudood Chishti. A regular RM is unwarranted. ─ Aafī (talk) 05:51, 11 March 2024 (UTC) ─ Aafī (talk) 05:51, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
Qutbuddin Maudood Chishti (RA) → Qutbuddin Maudood Chishti – Currently the page title has '(RA)' in it, which appears to be an Islamic honorific (specifically raḍiya -llāhu ʿanhū), which from my understanding of our rules, should not be applied to ensure wikipedia is neutral. - @Alssa1: This was a bad move and I have reverted it. The article is now at its stable title: Maudood Chishti, where it was previosly. ─ Aafī (talk) 05:49, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
