Sinking
[edit]@Patapsco913: This looks like an interesting article coming along, and I note that you have only reached 12/1941. However, I also see that you already edited this shipwreck list to the effect that she was bombed and sank on 26 January 1942 (and the reference given indeed says that). However is seems that, while she was certainly bombed and damaged, she did not sink but was patched and pumped out, continuing in active service until fuller repairs were carried out in February. This is set out in detail in here and here and maybe in other refs. The only actual sinking mentioned is that of 28 Jan 1945 (incidentally, I do notice some disparities between sources on dating, usually by one day, and assume that this may be due to the clock-time chosen - Japanese, UTC, German etc).
Looking forwrd to reading more. Davidships (talk) 00:40, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll add the fate of the ship so there is a start and a finish. There is a lot to add in between since she was involved in a lot of action. Patapsco913 (talk) 04:15, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
