Candidates to list in thirteenth round

[edit]

@Alaxdar I mixed up the OLJ articles about Frangieh and Frem, but it still doesn’t make much sense to list Frem in the first table when Frem has said he is supporting Aoun instead, and he will only continue in the race if Aoun isn't elected: Le député Neemat Frem (Kesrouan), qui s'était officiellement porté candidat il y a un peu moins d'un mois à la présidence du Liban, a annoncé mercredi qu'il soutenait l'élection du commandant en chef de l'armée, Joseph Aoun, à la magistrature suprême.[1] The same logic applies to Geagea: C’est surtout la position des Forces libanaises qui était entourée de flou.

Armed Forces as Party?

[edit]

While Joseph Aoun is the leader of the LAF, I can't seem to find any sources stating the LAF is functioning as a political party in the election. Is he registered under the LAF in official documents? It definitely needs a citation in any case, and absent that his affiliation should be changed to independent. CitrusHemlock 02:18, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I noticed that before, but someone must have put it back. cf 58: Chehab’s listed as independent (correctly). Docentation (talk) 19:46, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
