Karasu (Kazakh: Қарасу ауданы, Qarasu audany) is a district of Kostanay Region in northern Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the selo of Karasu.[3] Population: 27,879 (2013 estimate);[2] 29,238 (2009 Census results);[4] 37,360 (1999 Census results).[4]

Geography

The Ulken Damdi river, as well as lake Kushmurun, are located in the district, the latter at the border with neighboring Auliekol District.[5]
