Ebara Corporation is a publicly traded manufacturing company based in Tokyo, Japan which makes environmental and industrial machinery such as pumps and turbines. It is the owner of the Elliott Company in the United States and Sumoto S.r.l. in Italy.[5] Ebara also operates through its "WaterKiosk" partnership to supply clean drinking water in Kenya.[6]
Controversies
[edit]Ebara Corporation has faced criticism for continuing its operations in Russia, despite halting new investments and planned developments there. While the company made an effort to gradually reduce its activities, including seeking alternative procurement methods, it still maintained its business operations in the country. This decision led to scrutiny, particularly as many companies have chosen to cease operations in Russia.[7]
