Category:Rottenmann and Wölz Tauern

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rottenmann and Wölz Tauern is a sub-group of the Austrian Central Alps in the Eastern Alps. Together with the Radstadt Tauern, the Schladming Tauern and the Seckau Tauern, the Rottenmann and Wölz Tauern forms the major mountain range known as the Low Tauern.

The boundary for the region is taken from the definition of the Central Alps and its subdivisions into individual mountain groups by the Alpine Club division of the Eastern Alps (AVE). It is thus bounded by a line running as follows: the River Enns from Großsölkbach to its confluence with the Paltenbach -- Paltenbach to Trieben -- Triebenbach to its confluence with the Tauernbach -- Hohentauern -- Pölsbach to its confluence with the Mur -- Mur to the confluence with the Katschbach -- Katschbach -- Sölk Pass -- Großsölkbach to where it enters the Enns[1].
